If it were a simple case of a mindless mix up that we all do on occasion I'd give him a pass. This, sadly isn't the case because it should have had such impact, if he cared, that he could never mix it up. This shows to me, my opinion, that this is indicative of his only concern is of looking good, similar to John Edwards, a true empty suit. He obviously, to me, never cared enough to get it right or ingrained on his psyche.

If he were a Republican this would not be an issue.

If he were a Republican this would not be an issue. I watched the Medal Of Honor ceremony. It seems impossible that Obama could have screwed up the name of the living recipient in just a few weeks. I wonder if this story is totally true. Is there a video of the screwup?

If he were a Republican this would not be an issue. Yeah. Right. Sure. Just imagine if it had been Palin.

If he were a Republican this would not be an issue. Yeah. Right. Sure. Just imagine if it had been Palin. Agreed, but that's because Palin has had foot-in-the-mouth disease since day one. Now name another Republican besides foot-in-the-mouth senior George W. Bush for whom it would have been an issue. It's an issue for Obama only because so many of you think he's not a "patriot" or some such drivel. And you think that only because he's a Democrat.

DOES. NOT. CARE. And neither do the libtards.

What I love is Republicans like you who (1) resort to ad hominem name calling rather than limiting themselves to actual debate and (2) label me a "liberal" simply because I disagree with you on something. Time to get a clue, Dave. The world isn't composed solely of conservatives and liberals.

Obama cares only about eating Hamburgers, loose shoes, and getting re-elected.

This is such a big YAWN it's really not worth bothering with. If the military lifers on here had ever worked in the private sector they'd figure out that executives often screw up. But beyond that, they'd figure out that this happens all the time within the corporations they are so eager to defend.

Nothing in the story had anything to do with "corporations". The dead hero's family probably has a different take than you do. But that's no surprise. A big YAWN is to be expected from the psychodelic haze that dominates your mind.

Obama would have no reason for deliberately making that mistake, as the conservative posters response to the kerfuffle suggests.
If you give "old flight suit" a pass for his verbal mistakes (and they were legendary), you have to cut Obama the same slack.
So conservatives, give it a rest.

I don't think anyone has claimed or suggested that Obama's gaffe was deliberate. I'm sure it was not. And "old flight suit" never got a pass for his verbal mistakes. He was excoriated for eight full years. "Chimp", "idiot", "can't put two sentences together", etc. I said right after the '08 election that it was going to be the left's turn in the barrel now... and Obama is making it a target rich environment.
