Did you read the morning UT sports section? Brent S. is pissed again at the Aztecs. This time he seems insulted that Brady Hoke chooses to run his training sessions according to his best judgement. Poor Brent! Why can't those Aztecs give him the respect he deserves? (Or is he actually getting just what he deserves! ) AzWm

The UT coverage of the Aztecs just keeps getting worse and worse.
When you have Brent S. as your beat writer for the Aztecs, something has really went wrong.
When will it stop with the UT?

We might, just might, see a different attitude if the Chargers leave San Diego County. The media moles would either have to cover the high schools on a daily basis or realize that we have a college playing football at the highest level of the sport right here in town. AzWm

Well at least the UT is delivering poor coverage. It seems that the NCT has stopped covering the Aztecs entirely. And I stopped getting the UT because of poor coverage.

Yes, pretty sad overall for a major city.

Yes, pretty sad overall for a major city. A major city? Hmmmm. I don't know about that. I have long said that San Diego is the world's largest village. Seems that many local figures, including the UT, are dedicated to proving me right. AzWm

I'll take the in between. It's a city of villages. =Bob Hey Bob. I was up in Normal Heights and Kensington the other day. Its been a while for me. What a special area and good memories. Normal Heights reminds me of O.B. (while Kensington reminds me of Pt. Loma - both without the ocean, of course). By '82 it had become clear to me that I could no longer deal with fog mold - the winters in O.B. were killing me. So when a friend from archaeology who owned a house up here got a 2 year job digging in Jordan, I jumped at the chance to rent his house (damn nice house even if I could barely afford the rent). I grew up in a village with a defined main street business district and O.B. and Normal Heights offer that; the difference being that they offer that within the context of a large city, something we had to drive 70 miles to the south to get in Syracuse (which was and is a seriously ugly city). The main reason I hate the 3rd ring burbs such as Mira Mesa is that there is no defined business district. We have to drive to do some grocery shopping since Henry's is a bit far away to walk, but I have a Von's two blocks from my house and a ton of other resources along Adams. And on Sept. 9, we're going to have a farmers' market: www.adamsavemarket.com/ that will also be in walking distance from my house. =Bob
