The SayNo Classic played this past weekend which features current and past prep stars such as Jordin Mayes, Tyler Honeycutt, Drew Viney, Derrick Williams ... and also featured SDSU's own Jamaal Franklin (2010) and Bryant Crowder (2011). Jamaal led his team to victory with 22 pts 9 rbs and 5 asst (I can't wait to see this guy playing for us next year) Crowder's team also won and he had 12 pts. (played against solid D-1 college competition) californiapreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1098407

This lineup is going to be so fun to watch! We have a top 25 team going into this season, and we are looking even stronger for upcoming seasons. These are fun times at SDSU basketball!

Seems to skew towards a run and gun athletic team, I guess we'll know more when the other pieces drop - but I hope it is, sounds like a fun team to watch.

But... we will need at least a complementary 'enforcer' down low. Or two. Agree, it might be easier to get a role player to do some dirty work. I'm happy with slow down or running, and Fisher seems to be too (which might be his biggest strength). I am certainly anxious to see who is going to fill all those spots we have coming up/

think the coach's number 1 priority is defense then plays whatever style best fits the players on offense- letting them go 1 on 1 with athletic players.

Wow! 38 points, 12 rebounds ... he also went 11 for 13 from the line which will make a few people on this board sigh with relief : )

All that pub on the wear twins and they seem like ultimate p*****s. We're getting dudes with some streak, some chip, some work. not guys bloated by press --- I'd expect nothing less than our guys dominating such skirt-flip-'er-upers

Wow, after looking at those stats, I'm thinking that Jamaal might be very underrated.

against the wear twins 6'10 and 6'10 (overrated but still good players) drew viney 6'7 (avg 17pts 7rbs at loyola last year) kam brown 6'2 (oregon PG transfering to Nebraska) cam jones 6'4 (avg 19pts 5rbs 3asst at N. Arizona)
that was solid and experienced D-1 competition that he shredded. 3/3 on 3's and 11/13 FT's is great to see. only 1 steal and 1 assist ... but only 2 TO's is pretty good.

Jam Frank looks like he'll fit in very nicely next year. We didn't really have a guy last year who could put the rock on the floor and attack the basket. Sounds like that is exactly Jam's game. It's tough finding holes in next year's roster, we are STACKED!

Jamaal still ballin at SayNo. His team lost by 2 for the division title, but he continued to fill the box score with .. a game-high 29 points plus 9 rebounds and 6 assists "No Shnacks defeated SoCal Elite (Wear twins, Viney and co.) last week and entered its final game against Reality Approach needing only a win to clinch the division. But Reality Approach, helped by 26 points from Orane Chin (CS Fullerton) and a double-double by Eric Wise (King, ex teammate of Leonard), who had 23 points and 14 rebounds, came away with a 77-75 win. Jamaal Franklin (SDSU) led No Shnacks with a game-high 29 points plus 9 rebounds and 6 assistscaliforniapreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1104638

That video gave me chills. Cannot wait to see this kid suit up. I'm more excited to see him defensively, to be honest. I really think we might have found the guy with the lateral quickness to guard some of the better guards in the conference.

That video gave me chills too. Just showed my wife and even she was impressed with how far we've come. That made me feel a lot better about spending $1400 on season tickets last week.
