Fun to think about until the press conference tomorrow. If that happened I think I would owe quite a few apologies -and I've been fairly civil so far!

I would laugh my head off at the poor PAC10. However, that isn't going to happen.

That there might be some honor & loyalty left somewhere in College FB. If they did decline for those reasons rather than going for the mighty dollar they should be applauded. I doubt they turn it down though, we'll know in about 6 hours.

What would be great is if they agreed to join in 2013 after the BCS AQ review, or if the MWC gets an AQ status as part of this deal. It also would make sense for the other schools to give Utah an extra share of the TV revenue to keep them in the MWC until we get AQ status. After all, this move is most likely to keep the MWC from getting AQ status.
I would have to believe that the Utah legislature will be involved because they were the big backers for the anti-trust BCS lawsuits. This is bigger than a few extra million $$ in UT's pockets.

I doubt Utah would pull a "Longhorn".

Well, everyone was correct. I can't say I had any hope Utah would decline. It was fun to consider it for a while until Utah made it official.
That opportunity has passed.
Adios Utah.
