I have always hated BYU and UCLA. In the last 10 years though, my hate for BYU has subsided, and I have found myself rooting for them to do well.
Now, my most hated rival is Utah. Here is a letter I have written, but will never deliver (kind of like the letter you always wanted to write to that girl that broke up with you in High School).
Dear the University of Utah,
Now you that you have shown you have no soul, and are the epitome of a sellout, I hate you with all my heart. Even though I rooted for you just last week, and my brother has a degree from you, I hope you rot. I hate your team, players, your alumni, your coach, and especially your fans that post on mwcboard.com. I hope you enjoy the Pathetic 10. You and all your Pathetic 10 brothers truly deserve eachother. You too can now have an elitist attitude, and be claim when you go 5-7, "Well at least we play in a good conference." You too can conveniently forget when you kick your ass, and still claim that you are far superior. Enjoy being a second class citizen in your own conference. The snobs that already are there, will never truly accept you.

This is just a personal opinion, but I do not intend to waste a minute worrying about the University of Utah. We need to worry about San Diego State, and I will confine my energy to the cause of improving Aztec athletics. If the Utes want to do exactly what we would do in a second were we given the chance, so be it.
We must focus on those things over which we have some influence and not on issues totally beyond our control. To do otherwise would be wasted effort.

Jealousy is a strong emotion. Let's not kid ourselves, had we been invited, we'd be gone in a heartbeat. I don't fault them one bit for leaving. But yes, I will now strongly root against Utah in EVERYTHING!!

Can't say I blame them either - but now they can really only dream about BCS games. Me thinks they had a better chance to go undefeated and get in as a member of the MWC. But, they will make more $$$$ in the Pac -12 I guess.
Different situation if SDSU got an invite b/c we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The Utes, IMO, stand to lose a lot more...games that is, but they will make more $$$ I guess.
Now, the question is, can BSU be as dominate in the MWC as they were in the WAC and who is going to step-up to be the 4th best team in the league? TCU, BYU, BSU and........who?

Well first of all the decison wouldn't be ours now would it? But if it was up to me and we had received an invite letter I would accept before I finished tearing open the invite.
I'm not envious of Utah. I prefer they were in the MWC because they belong. But they made the choice to accept an invite and the $$$. Now they sit on the other side of the fence. They are dead to me.
If it was SDSU on the other side of the fence then... well the view is different from over there.

I just hope we can improve our own team. I think that would help solve many problems. This season will not be easy as we play the lesser MWC teams on the road. I would be feeling more positive if we played them at home. And please, please, please let us beat New Mexico State and Utah State. The conferences breaking up and our having no on-campus stadium have left me feeling pessimistic about the future.  |

FYI It's easier to do what Utah did--mediocrity to BCS games--in the MWC than the Pac 12. I recall a time when it was SDSU and BYU atop the WAC... It can happen again. Let's do it! Who's with me?! |

I was really glad to get to this thread before it degenerated into a "hate chuck long" disseration. But, never mind. This fanhood dude sure likes to stir the pot. I kinda get the impression he likes to pull our collective legs. I'll bet he lives in someplace weird...like Boston or some other eastbumfug place.
