What if they do crappy in football when they start playing a Pac Ten schedule? I can hear it now: "See? The non-AQ teams can't compete with the big boys even when we do let them in." Actually there might be some merit to it given the history of UA and ASU since they joined the Pac Ten. In other words, we may now hate Utah, but I think we have to root for them. If they are gone, they're not our concern anymore! JMO

Now that you mention it, that would be sweet if the came in and went to the Rose Bowl their first year, would make the MWC look good

Lets say Utah rips the Pac 12 a new one...becoming an instant force.
That will immediately alert all the talking heads that "well, I guess the top of the MWC IS that good".
Which would ultimately, create a likely scenario that the Big 12 will try and swoop in and gobble up BYU and or TCU. (Not that I think TCU would be allowed in by Texas)...I'm just sayin', it would make the MWC ripe for pickens again.
I don't see a positive in this thing.

It will indeed be fascinating to see how the Utes do in the Pac-10/11/12 (if they ever officially join that conference! ). My own guess is that they will do just fine, though I don't necessarily expect a Pac-10 championship for Utah right away. The Utes' recruiting class next Feb. should be pretty good if Utah has for sure joined by then. AzWm

Very interesting point. I never thought of that one but I think some non BCS schools have already proved they can play with the BCS. Boise State for one. When was the last time they lost a regular season game? I think it was to Hawaii in 2007. They always beat up on everyone in their OOC games including the BCS schools.

I want to see how it changes Utahs recruiting. How could it possibly hurt their recruiting? I won't. I want to see how much it increases their recruiting.

Who cares, that would be a Pac 10 problem.

If you win they will come as recruits. I still think BSU out recruits WSU, Uof A, ASU, and OSU.

With all their recent dismissals, they will get destroyed in hoops their first year in the Pac-10.
