I thought the Pac X would have pushed it right through, but what is up with the hesitation?
Is the Pac X reconsidering after the Big 12 embarrassment?

There's chatter that it's tomorrow. Of course, we've had more than our fair share of chatter, so we'll see.
OTOH, the Pac-10 commish has said he's perfectly comfortable in going ahead with 11 schools. If I'm in his shoes, I wait and let the Texas/Oklahoma schools wallow in their decision-making for a year to see if the Big 12 commish's promises materialize. He might get school presidents, other than Texas with its own TV network, licking his shoes by this time next year.

Good luck to Utah. Will be nice playing fifth fiddle in the Pac 10 after USC, Oregon, CAL, and UCLA.

Won't it be the 2012 season before Colorado plays in the PAC-10? Why would they move before they have to. A year from now Utah could give notice and play in 2012. The PAC-10 is in no hurry. Who knows what will happen in a year.

Wazzu and perhaps OSU may have balked at Utah joining the PAC-12. Twelve teams may require a split among the current teams such that OSU and WSU play USC or UCLA only every other year. If I'm WSU or OSU I say no to that.

Per MWC rules, did Utah have to/get to vote on whether to add Boise?

If I'm WSU or OSU I say no to that. The key for SoCal kids recruiting to Cornvalley, Ore or Pullmyfinger, WA is that annual trip to SoCal to play in front of friends & family. We'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

CU and the Pac-10 had announced a 2012 starting date but that may be moved up, especially if Utah joins next year. Unlike the Big 12, the MWC has no indemnity clause. Now there's a mistake. JMO

No wonder he keeps saying he hasn't heard from Scott, with no penalty clau$e why would Scott feel obliged to call him??
