He was head coach at USC in 2009. What happened? Looks like our AD took care of Beth. Now we need to sell tickets and all our Big 3 programs will grow stronger.

I think he wanted to get away from the U$C culture of sleaze and break in on the ground floor of a real basketball program. ;D

Sounds like a future Beth Burns replacement? Don't let the "Associate" fool you. It's probably has something to do with experience and compensation. Beth is staying forever - ;D

Coach Trakh coached at my alma mater High School in Brea. He is legit. Won 4 state titles while at Brea. Brea is a Powerhouse for women's basketball in Southern California. Current player at Stanford Janette Pohlen (McDonald's All-American) who made the buzzer beater to make it to the NCAA Women's Championship game is out of Brea. Maybe Trakh can start getting commitments from these type of players out of Brea with some old Connections.

It is great that SDSU is seen as a stepping stone for head coaches waiting for the right offer. I am sure Beth and the team will take full advantage of what he offers while he is here.
It again shows that Beth Burns is highly thought of in basketball circles.
Having a strong male in the #2 position will help get girls who really prefer a male head coach. A father figure. There are players who don't care and players who fall on one side or the other in their coaching preferences (even if it is subconscious). We are in strong position to attract all three types of players.

I lived in Brea when I was a little kid (several blocks off of Imperial).
