From twitter.
RealJayWilliams Texas stays in the Big12. What great news for #BIG12. Will the other schools follow their lead?

The Pac-10 thinks they're going to get Texas and Oklahoma and ends up with Colorado and Utah (presumably). Epic. Fail.

Hahahahahahahahaha! couldn't happen to a more deserving conference!
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Too bad for us though if Utah goes (and they will if invited. They'd be stupid not to).
I wish Utah would stay and we keep everyone plus Boise.

And, the deal turns yet again back to SDSU left holding the bag. The least favored scenario is back on the table again. Let's hope we don't lose Utah, BYU and TCU out of this deal. I don't want to say it, but why is my gut always right when it comes to bad things for Aztec football? Well, I'm jumping the gun here, the deal isn't done yet, but still... The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

So many threads on this...but anyway, as I posted on another thread, the Big 12 isn't required - ironically - to get back to 12 teams. The whole reason Texas is staying (and therefore the rest of them will stay) is the they were going to increase their revenue. Sharing it with BYU & TCU is not going to help them. They already have the Texas market (so no new TV sets with TCU) and Utah isn't that big of a market to justify splitting the cost.

But as the Big 12 has demonstrated, you don't have to split things equally. I would just love seeing the MWC all hold hands and snub the PAC-10. Who would they add if the Big 12 and the MWC just said no? They couldn't stay at 11. I am sure the Big 1210 wouldn't take Colorado back. Utah State to the PAC- 1012

This means that the Big 10 has 12 members and the Big 12 has 10. This so confusing.

both posts. classic. On a side note, not happy with the way this is shaking out. This means that the Big 10 has 12 members and the Big 12 has 10. This so confusing. Someone Tweeted last week that they should just swap logos and call it a day.

Exactly, I am not worried at all about the Big 12 (with 10 teams) taking any MWC school.

Actually no, Tejas and OU like the only 10 mouths to feed model. If they want a conference championship game, which nets them more money for a tv deal, then they will be at 12 soon enough. This talk of ten I feel is just to stop the heads from spinning for a day and collect their breath.

Not a bad thing for the MWC. Big 12 will stay at 10. ( BYU-AF not going anywhere yet) Pac-Fail may not take Utah for awhile and hope the dusts settles. So things are OK for now. Who knows what happens with TAMU and the SEC
