I haven't heard whether or not they would accept the invitation that the Pac 10 is apparently set to extend. I also haven't heard if the SEC actually wants Texas A&M, I've only heard A&M's side. However, assuming the SEC offers A&M, leaving the Pac 10 with only 15, if you're Utah do you want to join the Pac 10? If the Big 12 North comes to the MWC, and with the addition of BSU, is there a chance Utah decides to stay in the conference - knowing it's about to attain BCS AQ status - and stay with traditional rival BYU?

I think it depends on what Texas AM does.
AM to the Pac 10, Utah stays.
AM to the SEC, possibility that Utah goes to the Pac 10.

Don't forget about Kansas taking A&M's spot (Pac 10 met with Kansas). If the Pac 10 gets the Big 12 teams and then takes Utah, the MWC should just add Kansas, K-State & Missouri and go to 12 teams. That being said, their may be pressure to take Baylor & Iowa State as well (kinda all-or-nothing type deal).

My feeling is: If Utah gets an invite, Larry Scott will not be able to finish the sentence before Utah says "Yes!"

Probably an irrelevant source, but I heard Eric Weddle on The Drive on Thursday, I believe, and he said that in his personal conversations with Utah's head coach, he thought they were going to the Pac 10. Weddle was not impressed or happy with BSU being added, because his hopes were for Utah to be in the Pac. Mainly because he wants Utah to be in a conference with AQ status.
My guess would be that Utah would jump at the opportunity to be in the Pac XX. Makes sense with the addition of Colorado as well.

Yeah you can't blame them for leaving if they get invited, if the Pac-10 comes knocking on Webbers door you better believe the first word out of his mouth would be yes.

If the PAC-10 ends up, after all is said and done, only with the near bottom of the barrel from the Big-12 (CU), and one MWC team, people will not be saying he is such a genius. That clearly was not what the PAC-10 had in mind when all this started.

That clearly was not what the PAC-10 had in mind when all this started. They would have added 2 more markets for their upcoming Pac-10 network and a Championship game, not a bad week for the pac-10.

If it is just Utah and Colorado, it will be a huge dud. Not bad if that was all they were after but if tehy don't get Texas, Oklahoma and their entourage, it will look really bad, especially for Utah because they will look like the hot chics friend that the Pac-10 got stuck with.

Really Pac-10? Utah and Colorado? That's the best you can do? I don't see how that energizers your fan base? Colorado was a huge under-achiever in the Big 12 both financially and in performance. In fact, I'm sure an argument can be made that there will be less money to go around now the Pac-10 will be splitting the pot with Colorado. Utah has good programs, but not a sexy draw at all. Does anyone in the Pac-10 care about watching Utah or Colorado? Uh, no! Most Los Angelians probably didn't even know those schools had football programs. I understand they expand into some large televison markets, but is that really what college athletics has come to? Pathetic.
All those traditionalist that have been supporting the BCS Bowl System look pretty silly now. What could be more sacred than the membership in the leagues themselves? It's obviously all a big money grab. How hypocritical for the NCAA to come down so hard on USC when AD's and Presidents are whoring themselves out all over the country for $$ as we speak!
If I was Utah I would stay in the MWC with its natural rival BYU. But $$ talks. Have fun with all those 4-8th place finishes in the Pac-10 Utes!

If the entire MWC said no to the PAC- 10 11, they would be in a pretty tough spot. They would have to add a team. Who?

A program in trouble that was a drag on the big twelve and a little more than 1/2 of the Salt Lake area vs OK and Texas. That is a big fail for the pac-?. Good for Utah but a Fail for the pac-?
