Would SDSU really be better off in a Big-16 with KU, K State, Mizzou, etc? We would have a hell of a time making even a minor bowl in FB (given the increased membership and the limited bowl tie-ins). Furthermore, we would also have a tough time making the NCAAS in basketball; remember, some fo the "left-over" Big-12 members may not be much in football, but in hoops they are not chopped liver. AzWm I disagree with you William. By getting Boise St and if we get these former Big-12 teams this is going to raise the level of our program and we will be bringing in better recruits across the board. It's amazing. When the WAC reached the pinnacle with ALL THOSE TEAMS I relished the opportunity to see the Aztecs all over the country from Hawaii to Texas, (last WAC road game was Tulsa and an excellent steak house called Skutters). Then the WHINING started about the travel and the break up of the natural rivalries, (blah blah blah). So a handful of schools break off and form the MWC, others bolt to Conf-USA and on and on. I know it's about nothing more than MONEY and yes the landscape has changed since '98, but I still can't help thinking that at some point down the road the whining could start again, especially if the anticipated BIG BUCKS don't start rolling in that would justify these new conference clusterf**cks and schools will be looking to split off...again. That's the dynamics of a profit motive entity that be college football.

Everyone on this board gets on AQ's not scheduling anyone, but does anyone really think if we are in a solid conference with Kansas, BSU, BYU ect.... and are AQ that our OOC schedule wouldn't be just as pathetic?
