I loved this comment to the article:
"BYU/RSL Fan | 9:08 a.m. Feb. 9, 2011 Provo, UT SDSU fans are total trash. I'm all for good natured smack talk but chanting that Boylen will get fired and telling the players to transfer is just plain vile. It's no longer fun smack; it's personal.
This will probably pale in comparison to chants BYU will get..."
I guess some people's trash is most other people's "one of the best student sections in the country".

I think they captioned the photo wrong. Ha. There's some funny stuff I could say about that, but I won't. Instead, I just e-mailed the sports editor. Not nearly as fun, but definitely more politically correct.

Did you see this comment:
"SDSU has a student section? I guess the kids who ride the short bus have to go to school somewhere so they chose SDSU."
They obviously have not been to one of our games to see the #1 student section in the US (just ask all the opposing coaches). They also are not familiar with the high average GPA that it takes to get into SDSU. BTW, what does "kids who ride the short bus" mean? Is that Utah jargon?

Love the B.C. quote, that's the attitude we need at all times. BTW, what does "kids who ride the short bus" mean? Is that Utah jargon? It refers to the Special Ed bus that was shorter than the regular yellow school bus.

I was in the student section when they were chanting he'd get fired. I'll admit I thought it was slightly farther than I personally felt comfortable with, so I didn't do it. To each their own. I like sports, but I'm not about to rub in someone's dim job prospects- especially in an economy like this. Does he deserve to be fired? Probably, but it felt a little low. Not terrible, just not something I wanted to join in on.
I did join in on the 'Transfer' chant, though.

I don't see the chant being that big of a deal, particularly when it is widely speculated that the guy is on his way out -- even among Utah fans.
I mean, hell, how many "Fire Craft" or "Fire Long" thread/screennames did we see on the board when those yahoos were running the football program into the ground? As I recall, nobody seemed to think that was "classless" or "crossing the line".

Basketball is not a finesse game, as some people might think. You have to play rough to win. It was funny, mean and appropriate. Had a classy guy like Miles or the Zoomie coach been in that spot last night, The Show might've taken their foot off the gas. But we're talking about a big, blustery guy who swatted the ball away from Lo Wade on a fast break. Also, I was in the stands when Majerus was playing his starters with a 40 point lead in an attempt to impress the pollsters, and then did it again two weeks later with a 50 point lead in SLC. I don't recall many Yoot fans feeling sorry for us then. Personally, I'm glad the karma has come full circle.

That is what I like to hear from the team. Step on the other teams throat and break their will.

Sweet. Now you have opposing players openly acknowledging the student section is getting under their skin. Great job show.

Sweet. Now you have opposing players openly acknowledging the student section is getting under their skin. Great job show. Now if the "old people" (as Coach Fisher referred to them/us) can do our part... "I was just so happy, because we came out with so much energy," Carlwell said. "We got the fans more into it. Coach always tells us before the game, 'You know the student section is going to cheer but let's get these old people out of their seats. Let's get them cheering.'

The Show can say what The Team can't. At least they can say it more loudly - and we know the opponents and The Team hear it.

Judging by the comments after that article, most of the Utah fans agree with the Show that Boylen should be fired.
