We should consolidate the Boylen threads.
The over/under on Boylen getting fired is about three more games, IMO. Dude has a brutal sked left. His next game is in Provo. Still has to play @unm and @c-Suck.

Yea, Utah is going to get pounded a few more times this year. That end of the year record isn't going to bode well for Boylen's employment.

The best way to consolidate the threads is to start another one.

The best way to consolidate the threads is to start another one. I was being ironical. Not a big fan of emoticons. Sorry.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, because in all my interactions with him, and most everyone else's interactions with him, he's a great guy, loves this game and his team, and has the type of personality that makes fans like him.
Unfortunately, he's not a D1 Coach, and I'd be surprised if he makes it out of this year. He's been nothing but a top-notch assistant to everyone he's served under... but unfortunately it hasn't translated to leading a team.

He acts like a buffoon on the court, shouting and jumping around. I have heard that he is a class act off the court, but he blatantly lied to the Deseret News the day after the game in '09 when he stole the ball from Lorrenzo Wade on a breakaway. He also has come out on the court at Viejas (then Cox) and slammed the floor shouting at the crowd/refs and just generally looking foolish. Bottom line he conducts himself like he has no self-control and it's very abrasive.

I don't know. After last night on the court the whole game...I wouldn't give anything but a D minus in the jerkdom grade.
He's like, not only a failure on the court (ONLY), but he's like getting dismissed in a bankruptcy.
Ugly, failure, jerk...maybe, but not A plus jerk.

Why did he call time out with 1 second to go? ANd what did he say to Fish at the end of the game handshake?

Stepping on to the court time and time again - even after getting warned by the refs. Interfering with one of the Aztecs DURING a game. Calling a time out with 1.4 seconds left and a 32 point deficit. Acting like a big baby on the sideline. He comes across as a big time jackass. Only a Ute fan could like him. And even most Ute fans seem to hate the guy now. His act has worn thin.

I've never understood why Utah fans were excited about this guy. Okay, maybe he's a nice buffoon, but he's still a buffoon. I knew from Day 1 he was going to be a huge failure, and I can't say the same about Giacoletti, who I could at least see myself going to play for a D-1 recruit (hypothetically, of course). I would never want to play for a buffoon like Boylen.
Looking at the talent on that team, and the mass departure they faced in the offseason, I'm apparently not alone.

Douche bag! Totally brougt Utah from the top of the conference all the way down to the dregs. Now that they are moving to the Pac-12, it is a perfect time to get a real coach and recruit some talent. The Utah AD should have realized Boylen is a mess after four guys, including their top two players, quit the team last season.
Put a fork in it, he is done!

I'm sad we won't be facing Boylen anymore. With McClain gone, he is the coach I love to hate the most.

Only negative to the Utes last game was that Boilin' Mad didn't get Teed up! 'xactly...Jahono kept getting mad that I was yelling to the ref to call a technical on the brown yellow underwhere cheater...what IS the rule? NO ONE is allowed on the court during play except the refs and ten players, five on each team... That he tackled Lorenzo Wade and Utah wasn't called for a foul, that fat head Boyland wasn't assessed a technical foul, AND UTAH WAS GIVEN POSSESSION is just another of thousands of examples that brown yellow underwhere and UTAH buys off the refs and cheats. Oh, is it not spelled, "Boyland"? I thought Michael Jackson attended Bringem Young? HAM

dude is a douche bag and derserves to be fired. Anyone who trips an opposing player is asking for trouble. I wish we would have won by 50. Utah quit, not the aztecs. Calling timeout was a way to rub it in. It was not a teachaeble moment. He is an a-hole.
