So far, ranked teams UConn, 'Nova, BYU, 'Cuse, A&M, Wisc, FSU, Florida all lose to lower or non-ranked teams today.
So far Kentucky is the only ranked team to win over a lower ranked or non-ranked team.

You missed #12 Purdue. They also won over #16 Minnesota.
Crazy to think that if things go right we could only fall to #5 or #6.
Expect votes to be ALL over the place this week. It will be like a preseason top 25 again because no one will be able to make sense of all the change today.

Kansas will definitely jump us. I think Texas will too assuming they can handle Mizzou tonight. Still though, I think being rank sixth is realistic. I think:
1. OSU 2. Duke 3. Kansas 4. Pitt 5. Texas 6. SDSU 7. UConn 8. Villanova 9. Notre Dame 10. BYU
Would be fair. UConn might edge us out, but they were behind us last week and lost to a lower ranked team at home. They absolutely shouldn't.

No way UConn passes us (if we win tonight). They were behind us and we lost to #9 on the road and they lost to #19 at home.
6 does sound about right if Kansas and Texas win. I don't think Mizzu jumps over us even with a win over Texas.

Damn, we could have 3 more upsets (Vandy & St. Mary's are losing and OSU up by 2 but NW with the ball).

We won't stay ahead of BYU, even though they lost to UNM today. Maybe we're in a tie. That'd be my guess.

Umm, yes we will be ahead of BYU. We were ranked 4th and they were ranked 9th and both teams lost on the road. We'll be 6th and BYU will probably be 8th or 9th again.

You don't know how polls are going to work out, a lot of the time they give more of an emphasis on the big games even if that isn't fair/doesn't make sense. Most of the country saw BYU's win over SDSU, not many saw Byu's loss later in the week.

Sure, BYU beat us at home, but lost on the road at New Mexico, where SDSU has already taken care of business. Even when we were ranked #4, BYU was favored to win that game, but New Mexico was not favored.

It might be hard for some voters to put you ahead of byu when they saw you lose to them just this week (in a game that didn't come down to the wire)

Its not really that hard, just look at the vote totals - www.aztecmesa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ats&action=display&thread=9086If the voters were just voting on the 2 teams (or if they were say 8 & 9 going in to this week), then BYU 'could' be voted ahead of us. But we were 5-6 spots ahead of them. For us to fall behind them, the voters would have to move BYU ahead of UConn & Villanova and have us ranked behind those same 2 schools ('Nova lost twice this week). You also have to factor in Duke, which lost as well and I predict some people will put us ahead of them. Final point is these same voters thought we were good enough to be #4 in the country before the BYU game - why would they think we are now #8 or #9 after a loss on the road to the #9 team in the country - who also lost in a place where SDSU won 2 weeks earlier? Add the fact that Pitt (home), Duke (road), UConn (home), 'Nova (home & road), 'Cuse (home & road), Mizzu, A&M, etc. all lost. In other words, why would all these voters who thought so highly of our team now change their minds after a loss when 17 other ranked teams also lost at least once this week. SDSU will be ahead of BYU, that is a guarantee. I am also 99% sure they will be 6 or higher.
