Rocky should have a jump start facing Borges O everyday in practice! UM Doesn't have a real Pro style QB in place do they? Nope. They will be down to Forcier once D Robinson transfers. I predict 5 sacks & 3 INTs.

I think we have a legitimate shot to win that game. Hoke will be implementing the pro-style offense and there really isn't a pro-style QB left on that roster. Our kids will be fired-up to say the least. That may be true, but don't bet that Hoke won't have a QB to run his offense. He could recruit one, either a frosh or JC transie that could play it. Also, with the quality of people Michigan can get who is to say that his defense won't be tough enough to stuff our offense especially since he knows our personnel? I do wish us the best against them, but I am taking it with a grain of salt.

"9/24/11 - "The time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end.'" +1 rocky and the rest of the aztec gladiators walk around the stadium, doing their walk about the field 90 minutes before the start of the festivities, waiting patiently, waiting their time
this should be a game

Hoke Rule #3798: Overlook former team, earn wrath of UM fans and delight former fans. or you could look at it as a win / win for him against us next year... If he loses to us then it shows how strong a program he built here. If he wins then he did what he's supposed to do.

as long as we don't punt on third down this time, I think we can take them.

Thread has been partially hijacked. Time to un-tack it, let it die out, then start a new one in spring and again in August.
Still, Beat up on Michigan!

Hey guys....so this thread came up on a google Hoke-Michigan search....and I was wondering about why so much animosity vs Michigan with re: to losing Hoke? From what I understand, it's not like Hoke was dishonest or ingenuous about his coaching career aspirations right? I mean he certainly didnt pull a Nick Saban MSU/LSU messy, lie-riddled middle of the night exodus or something like that? Didn't Hoke always make it clear that Michigan would be his destination/dream job if the opportunity ever arose?....and didnt he even say this to the SDSU AD when he was hired? I know it's alway tough to lose a good coach, but if someone is up front about their career goals/objectives and then has the opportunity to pursue them....who would want to prevent that?....in any career situation?
And hey from Michigan's perspective, we desperately need a coach obviously!....our program has been destroyed by RR and we desperately need a former Michigan coach who loves and understands the program to come back home and restore a winning tradition. Harbaugh very unfortunately went pro and Miles' candidacy is not supported by many powerful people back in Ann Arbor (former coach Carr and current president Coleman to name a couple), so Hoke became the clear candidate. And that candidate really wanted the job.
I don't know....it just doesn't seem like the 'chain of events' warrants such hostility. Again I know it's tough to lose a coach, but from what I've heard Hoke has done a great job there at SDSU, and I'm sure his replacement will be able to build on that success and continue taking your program to the next level.
All the best to everyone there at SDSU and we look forward to seeing you all next year in the Big House!

The way it was handled is the main reason everyone is angry. * Left without saying anything to his players. * Has had his foot out the door for about a month. * If Hoke was Brandon's guy why didn't they get it done a month ago? Just a few of the reasons why we're angry.

Actually, the reason that this board responds with this much animosity is this board has never been able to have any perspective. Most of the unhappy posters on here would have rather had Hoke have a player's meeting, and then do a press conference with years in his eyes saying he was going to miss this town, and then show up at the basketball game tonight to address the crowd, and then hang out after the game to shake everyone's hand, and then send out thank you cards to the season ticket holders, and then keep recruiting for us............

Thanks to Brady Hoke, who put the Aztecs on the winning road, SDSU will indeed beat Michican in Michican.
It will be great fun and a great win.
Aztecs Keep Rising!

All the best to everyone there at SDSU and we look forward to seeing you all next year in the Big House! Hey, it's human nature. The guy leaves, we want to beat him. Simple as that. Kinda like when Harbaugh talked about UM lowering its admission requirements for athletes and had his "Michigan Man" status rescinded. But I'm more pissed at Brandon and UM than I am at Hoke (how can you turn down that kind of money?). Stringing us along, potentially messing with our recruiting, etc. The Big "10" gets its big crowds, no doubt about that, but the football played is on a par with the MWC or WAC. Check the scores. Also check the schedule of your friends across the border. Despite the school president's claims, OSU had a soft schedule of Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota and various MAC teams. Also, look no further than Illinois: lost to Fresno, who couldn't beat Northern Illinois. Mark your calendar. The Aztecs are coming to the Big House this September and coming back with a big W.
