This is a career game for some of these guys. They won't ever be in a bigger contest again - unless the Aztecs go 12-0 and then...
Cox sucking Cox probably won't carry the game.

I just spoke with Mandrake. Word on the strip is clear, Michigan wins! Lock and load baby! Denard goes off(as usual) and jets for 180 on the ground and two hundred and fifty through the air.Go Blue! These morons haven't figured out that A They get their ass's kicked in 8-10 Rose Bowls B "Big 10" Fb is overrated C Yes Football exists in the west and is STILL dominate D They are 1 play away from having Denard out for the season hence their season hopes gone. Expect the fan base in Michoacan to be representative of the postings by Gaso.

We do not expect to dominate, we just expect to win. More importantly, rest assured the Aztecs are way past any possible "wow" factor playing Michigan. Neither Michigan Players, Wolverine Fans, nor the Big House will intimidate the Aztecs.
The Aztecs are not looking to keep it respectable, they are not looking for a moral victory, they are only focused on doing all that it takes to win this game and are looking forward to saying Thank You and Good Luck to Coach Hoke afterwards. It will be a great game and the winner will have a lot to shout about.
That will be the Aztecs.

Well, I am a fan of the Aztecs and have been posting on these boards for years.
I am also a UM alum who attended every football game while attending the UM from '77-'81. I have been a die-hard UM fan ever since.
However, this is the one and only time I am actually pulling for UM's opponent. Under the circumstances, since UM is not a team that has a realistic shot at the top 15 and since a win for SDSU would mean more for its program than a loss would hurt UM and given the Hoke situation and the advantages Hoke and Borges have in knowing more about SDSU's team than Long and SDSU know about UM's team, I gotta pull for the Aztecs in this game, but I still hope it is a great game.

I want the aztecs to win it in the fourth quarter, after an extremely physical battle, and then the teams shake hands and go out for pizza and beer together. ;D Coach Wellman congratulates the Aztecs after the victory and tells the assembled players from both squads, "The physical conditioning that now exists on the Aztec team was a major factor in their win, and this is what we are trying to do with us Wolverines." And then the aztec players douse Brady an Aaron and Al with beverages and everyone has a good time. ;D Then both teams can go undefeated for the remainder of the season and have a rematch in a BCS game.

I want the Aztecs to destroy Michigan by 30+ points.

There will be "bigger" games, but you only worry about the game in front of you. While this is a big game, this isn't even the best team on our schedule. Both TCU and Boise State are ranked ahead of Michigan. We aren't playing the legend of Michigan, we are playing the current Michigan team. Just because they wear the same colors as some of the past Michigan teams doesn't mean they are as good as past teams. The next game is always the biggest game. And if we want to be 4-0, we need to win tomorrow. That's what makes this game big. Add in the cachet of the Michigan name, the Big House, and a guy who doesn't tie his shoes and you've got some excitement. I don't care if this is the biggest Aztec game ever or the smallest. I just want to beat the hell out of 'em.

The "non-stereotyped" Michigan fans (i.e. they guys you would actually want to sit and have a beer with) are excited for this game.
Worried? Absolutely. In no way do they (we) project the cocky arrogance associated with the stereotypical Michigan fans you seem to have encountered before on this board, or in person.
We're not idiots. We get that this is a huge building process we've started with your old coach, and that you're pissed at how he left your growing program. Be angry all you want, but remember Michigan as a school had Brady before he had SDSU, and the "normal" Michigan fans are waiting this game with bated breath.
A win would be considered a huge victory. A loss is sad but not devastating.
Best of luck to the team you cheer for in tomorrow's contest.

The players just want to personally tell Hoke goodbye and good luck after they walk off the field with a win. It would not surprise me if they gave Hoke the Game Ball.

I'm also just curious...what aspect of Michigan's game do you see exploiting to the point where you actually win the game?
To me, it seems like it will be close, but I honestly believe Michigan has the edge.

To me, it seems like it will be close, but I honestly believe Michigan has the edge. We have the edge in that we have been in the system we are currently running longer than UM has. We have a better running game and a better passing attack. Our defense is designed to stop the style of offense UM employs.

No defense is designed to stop D-Rob. I don't know how you can say he doesn't concern you.

No defense is designed to stop D-Rob. I don't know how you can say he doesn't concern you. You are right in that your QB is an amazing athlete. If he is allowed to run around it will be the worst thing for any defense to stop. However, keep him in the pocket and your offense is vanilla.

I can guarantee you he won't stay in the pocket...
How long he does is up to our offensive coordinator.

To me, it seems like it will be close, but I honestly believe Michigan has the edge. You just ain't that good. You've played the directional schools and whatever. The Domers who are rebuilding too. Hoke is going to do a great job there but y'all might want to hold your water for a bit. Your only edge is Robinson, the home crowd, and the 3 hr time difference w/ a breakfast kickoff. Our edge is Ronnie Hillman, Lindley as a passer, our TEs, a team that wants to beat Hoke, and experience at the kicking positions. We'll just see what happens.

SDSU has the edge because we are well balanced and don't have any major weaknesses. Michigan is all about one guy, a RB playing the QB position. Plus our defense hits friggin hard, I'm not sure if Denard is going to be able to handle four quarters of that kind of abuse. I can't wait for the game, but if I was in Vegas, I would put a good sum of money on the Aztecs to cover that 10 point spread.
