Not intended to rip AL at all...just give him some ideas to mix in and utilize speed against more physical teams we face.

I have the opposite opinion, that was some of the most boring football I have ever seen. All of the misdirection and such, there was very few exceptionally athletic plays. Both offenses are predicated not on beating the man in front of you, but on tricking the other team. Absolutely agree! I thought this thread was using sarcasm.

The playcalling has hurt this game. Oregon is optioning the best player on the field and what is the rule of the option? penetration and stop the fullback (or in these options the ace back). Kelly coming out in that stupid motion into shotgun fullhouse and compact the field and again play into the strength of aubrn. And auburn's playcalling is let Cam newton scramble or dump the ball down. I was thinking the exact same thing. Oregon play calling was suspect at best. They ran the same plays and did not take advantage of their up tempo. As a matter of fact the plays took too long to get in and let the big UA boys catch their breath.

I do agree there. I think they overthought a bit too much and forced running plays too much in 2nd half.

I was thinking Oregon would benefit by watching the Aztecs play.
Auburn was also stopped on 4th and 1 at the goal line. I wonder if Oregon won, would everyone be talking about what a good job their defense did.
That was an even game. Neither team showed themseleves to be that much better. I thought Auburn showed very little class in never saying anything about Oregon in all the post game interviews.
