I will say, I would prefer:
1) A play making safety
2) Offensive line help, preferably right tackle. One with a strong run blocking background.
3) Linebacker

Not sure how you think DE's isn't a need
Here is how I would like the picks
1. Von Miller- DE/ OLB He is an absolute beast DE/OLB who played in 3-4 at Texas A &M 27 sacks last 2 years also 102 tackles, 65 solo, 34 TFL. Need to bulk up about 15 pounds, more than doable 2. Marcus Cannon- OG/RT Would be a risk but he is a great run blocker and athlete which we need from the scouting reports, may have to move inside, needs to work on technique 3. Sam Acho- DE (will get late second from cromartie pick) 4. Jaiquawn Jarrett- FS 5. Vincent Brown- WR

Yes, we could use a D-end as well.

First pick goest to Defense. I give Rivera a LOT of credit for having the defense play as well it has considering that it lacks bonafide superstars on D.
First round, I see a pass rusher in terms of DE or OLB. Remember that Bolts were banking on Merriman coming back healthy this year for much neded pass rush and English was banged up most of year.
If not, then a playmaking Safety.
I would not expect them to spend a day one pick on O-lineman or an Interior D-lineman. They've got a stable of players there. Reminder that McNeil and Vasquez missed 5 games each.
This draft is RICH in RB's and WR's. I'd expect Bolts to pick a WR or RB on day one because:
a) Sproles didn't play up to his $8 million salary and he declined a long term deal at $4million/yr.
b) VJ and Davis are gone and while Rivers did a great job of utilizing WR's he had, you need a burner to stretch the defenses. Floyd signed a one year deal and was just serviceable.

We have Tolbert and Mathews, if you want a third and long back pick one up for cheap in free agency, no need to waste a pick on one this year

- A coach who exerts a bit of discipline.
- Some players who exercise even the littlest bit of self discipline, especially on Saturday nights.
- A GM who shows just a modicum of humility.
DING DING...Wwwwwiiiiiiiner!

I'm thinking a rush LB as well. Maybe English pans out, maybe not. I happen to think not, as he's done nothing even remotely close to being a 1st RD draft pick. Can he at least make it through one year without getting hurt?
I say we draft an impact LB or an impact S. Enough with projects like English who was a small DE at N. Illinois and Darrel Stuckey and Vaugh Martin etc. Time to pick solid players from solid programs.
We don't have time and the players to babysit and hide players on the 53 man roster. Our ST's should be example number one of that.

A playmaker on defense. ANY position. If we stay in the 3-4, a run stuffing end, a pass rushing linebacker, a physical safety with a nose for the ball solid in pass coverage and run support. Need to put more heat on quarterbacks.

Defensive End Safety Kick return specialist/WR Linebacker
English just hasn't filled the void Merriman left after he got banged up, AJ should find someone else. TE depth may need to be addressed, Gates is still the man, but he has recurring injury issues. A speedy return man would be nice, save Sproles for 3rd down situations. Tough guy safety who intimidates WR's.

After watching him all season, I would love to see Cameron Heyward with our 18th pick. He can cause a lot of havoc as a 3-4 defensive end. Kid can play!

If we could find a Jacoby Ford in round 2-4 then we will be in great shape there.

1. Defensive end 2. Safety 3. Outside Linebacker 3a. Wide receiver Chargers actually have 5 picks in the first three rounds this year. One in each of first three rounds of their own, plus: 3rd each for Whitehurst (Seattle) and Cro (Jets). Jets' win this weekend turns that pick into 2nd rounder.

Cason looked great in punt returns, but not sure if we want him long term.
If you can convince yourself that we need a WR in the second Jerrel Jernigan is the guy

If you can convince yourself that we need a WR in the second Jerrel Jernigan is the guy Dane Sanzenbacher in the 2nd or 3rd round would be terrific, if you ask me. He's the type of WR Rivers could use. Great hands, good speed, solid route runner. The type of guy the Colts love to draft. Collie, White, Gonzalez.

I wouldn't mind seeing A.J. Green, but we have more pressing needs than WR.

I wouldn't mind seeing A.J. Green, but we have more pressing needs than WR. He's the top WR on the board, and may not last to #18. If he's there, you take him....if you ask me. Titus Young or Austin Pettis from Boise may be available in the 2nd.

With the extra picks this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see A.J. package a deal to move up. Green is the one player I wouldn't mind as a "non-need" type of pick. Guy has an ability to dominate games. A.J. has to have a sense of desperation. This team cannot afford to miss on any picks now.
