Interesting, that during Biden's hastily-called presser tonight, a question was asked about the Israeli-Gaza war, and Biden, for some unknown reason, mentions the President of Mexico. What in the actual f***? Yeah, I just heard that. With a chance to redeem himself, he failed again. He also mistakenly mentioned someone from another country, but was from Egypt. Not good. I guess same case. He mentioned the Mexican president when it was the Egyptian. This is a guy who couldn't remember when he was VP. Wow. Biden doesn't look fully there. There is a commercial with Biden and Obama that just started airing. Even in the commercial, he doesn't look with it. And that's a scripted commercial. This may upset Democrats, but both candidates are too old. Honestly, Kennedy's independent bid is looking more attractive by the day. It might make sense for Biden to step down for Harris at the point.

I've heard a lot of negative things about Harris, but I can't make an opinion on her since I don't know much about her.

The person standing on the podium, defending Biden, is the person that should be running President for the Democratic party. But whatever. Kennedy is a better candidate then Trump or Biden.

Public would overlook pot use..but former heroin addict? ok in music..Clapton, Page, Richards etc. but President? For me RFK jr. has other issues.. Kamala would be a disastrous choice.

Public would overlook pot use..but former heroin addict? ok in music..Clapton, Page, Richards etc. but President? For me RFK jr. has other issues.. Kamala would be a disastrous choice. Well there is a drug epidemic in this country, an opiate epidemic. This is an epidemic that has been going on for a very long time. Yet which of the last presidents have actually made an effort to fix this problem? RFK explains that he was an addict, and that the 12 step program helped create a spiritual awakening within him that allowed him to kick the habit. Look, some Democratics want to believe that only perfect people should be elected to office. That means no past drug use, no affairs, no harassment allegations, no anything clean as a whistle. Most people aren't perfect people. Most people are flawed. And that's okay. I believe that people can learn from their experiences on Earth and grow as people over time. I believe that is the purpose of living on Earth, growth. You can call it spiritual or not, thats up to you and your religious beliefs. So I reject this notion that has been bandied about by cancel-culture Democrats that only perfect people can be employed, that only perfect people are worthy of office. It's, quite frankly, a ridiculous standard that I reject.

This mentality is how we got to where we are in Congress - Infiltrated by extremists, pushing conspiracy theories, racism, fearmongering and the like. Nobody is perfect, but be careful what you wish for. Personally, I don't want to have a president who espouses anti-Semitic views and pushes a wide range of divisive conspiracies that have been thoroughly debunked. The establishment doesn't elect candidates with the will of the populace in mind.

It's, quite frankly, a ridiculous standard that I reject. For one example, most of your best drug counselors are former addicts. To say that someone has no hope because they had a drug problem falls in line with the people who are against second chances and forgiveness. I would not hold it against him that he's a recovering addict.

Your relationship with objective truth is what's upsetting. Yes, I'm sure questions by some rando on the Internet are really going to be heavy and concerning. We have a president who has presided over a rebuilt economy, passed the largest infrastructure bill in modern history and lowered unemployment to record levels....and then there's Donald Trump. Four indictments. 91 felonies. Sexual assault. Defamation. Failure as president. But hey, enjoy that legacy. It’s hilarious you think you are the final word on Trump’s legacy. Then again Trump and many Republicans have been saying Biden is in mental decline for several years.. Your and the democrat left’s hatred of the man has caused your collective critical thinking and keen observation skills to atrophy. This has been happening for at least 4 years. How could you not see it??? God bless President Biden, I hope he does the right thing for himself. He has a lifetime of service to this country, he doesn’t need to carry any more political weight for the Democrats.

He has a lifetime of service to this country, he doesn’t need to carry any more political weight for the Democrats. I'm precisely NOT the final word. Just one person's opinion who paid attention for the last handful of years. However, it helps to be on the side of presidential historians and academic scholars who put Trump in the bottom four of every survey conducted in the last round, which occured in 2021. You must be as confused as you claim Biden to be - I've not once failed to acknowledge the perceptions of his cognitive decline. The results, however, are in stark contrast to that, as is the narrative that led to his impeachment. You can be a genius mastermind behind a complex money laundering operation, or you can be an Alzheimer's candidate...but you can't be both. In fact, Trump accused Biden just yesterday of *faking* his memory decline. So, which one is it? I'm not arguing Biden is sharp as a tack at 80 years old. I'm simply arguing that if you want to play that card, you better be able to acknowledge the same...exact....set....of...circumstances occuring elsewhere. And to this point, you have refused. It's easy to be a lemming, it's difficult to actually get outside of your own preconceived ideals. As usual, I like to stick to actual facts and remove the hyperbole. What we know is we have one candidate who is staring down the barrel of the judicial system, while the other candidate, despite the notion of mental incapacitation, continues to deliver actual results. Do I wish we had a younger Democrat candidate? Absolutely. But we are where we are, in the vise grip of a two-party system where we have a binary choice to make.

He has a lifetime of service to this country, he doesn’t need to carry any more political weight for the Democrats. Something else worth noting - 68 Republicans have now co-sponsored a bill by Matt Gaetz, proposing that Trump did not engage in insurrection on January 6th. We saw what happened with our own eyes. Yet the extremists (and Trump loyalists who are afraid of being primaried) want to rewrite history. This is what Trumpism revolves around. Elise Stefanik (likely trying to be Trump's VP, according to some) said she wouldn't have certified the vote. She's in the top three of the GOP hierarchy. Any idea how dangerous that is to our voting institutions? If you're going to give me a choice between that and "Jesus, he's old" - Yeah, I'm taking the latter 100 out of 100 times and it's not even a remotely difficult choice.
