There’s no way we are recruiting him. He would be a huge headache. Yeah hard pass.

Dutch wants good people and good players. He just a good player. Oldie Out Depends on what your definition of a "good player" is. When I watched him his defense was just about non-existent. Maybe he turns his life around and dedicates himself to working on that side of the ball more but he's been glamorized for 5-6 years now for his offense. I don't see that changing. It's an easy pass.

Sounds as though he needs a recruiter/coach like Jerry Tarkanian.
Although I should note that Tark made his guys play defense at a high level.

I was guessing UNM. He and his sidekick are naturals for Petino Jr.

I'm surprised he didn't go to a state with more relaxed gun laws.

Florida Man....
And yes, "Wholesome Truth Teller", I don't think anyone wanted Mikey Williams in the Aztec Locker Room.

why slam a guy when some day SDSU might want him back here . He doesn't play defense So even if he was a model citizen off the court, he'd be a terrible fit here

Yah, I agree it is best we pass at this point like most of you have noted. Mikey has some growing up to do and getting away from SD is probably best.
However, the kid can flat out ball. I have seen him play multiple times and he is a different level type player. He does need to work on his defense, but no one has ever made him play defense. I have been to Section 7, Tarkanian Classic, etc. I have seen these so called one and done type players. Mikey is just as good or better than the sure fire lottery pick guards. He is just on another level and literally can take over a game WHENEVER he wants. Again, he doesn't play defense so not a good fit, but like most players, he can learn.
Kid has been put on a pedestal his whole life. Some of his actions are terrible, but he is young and immature. He will wise up and hopefully sooner than later. I am rooting for Mikey because I have seen him interact with others and seem like a good kid. However, I have seen him be a terrible teammate as well which is more concerning. He will learn accountability at some point and he needs some tough coaching and tough love.

This ^^^^^ And even if the Aztecs did have dreams of a bounceback (they most assuredly DON'T), he's one-and-done anyways. I'm not 100% sure he'll be drafted by the NBA, but he'll go to the G-League if he's not.
