He is and will want to go to a school with NCAA Tourney ability and starting minutes at the 4 or 5. Had at least 10 rebounds in 29 of 30 games, lowest 8 & highest 21. And 13 games of 14 or more boards. Defensive minded, but shot 48.5% and 71.0% from the line.

He will definitely be one of the top grad transfers out there with numerous offers
Great to have Dutcher as HC coach of the Year by USA Today , Aztecs Success and Yanni having a very good year
Hope we can land a high quality 5/4 player
Does look as though PF Towns of Harvard is looking strongly at the Buckeyes and others

I'm not sure his scoring will translate to a step up in competition, much like Josh Davis didn't.
However, his rebounding did.
This guy will be huge for us on the boards.

A guy like Josh Davis would be huge for this team. I don't think Malachi will come back, but Flynn/Marfo would be the next Thames/Josh Davis. This team would be top 10 again next year with a guy like that.

I was even worried that his rebounding numbers might be inflated playing in the MAAC but watching even his freshman video (which was the only one I could find) I'm not worried about that. This guy looks like Josh Davis II who was an absolute beast on the boards. Love guys like that.

Could Kevin Marfo and Nathan Mensah play on the floor at the same time? I feel like they are the same time of player. Our offense would go stagnant. At least Yanni could step out and hit a 3 pt.

Yanni went 7-22 from 3. While I agree Marfo and Mensah do kind of overlap they are talented enough that the talent overrides the fit. Also you can make it so they play only like 10 MPG together

there are at least 25 schools after Marfo and more will be trying -
think the least of the staff's problems would be how to play Marfo . First and most difficult is to sign him and then think our staff can figure the variety of options available for them

Marco would have to be good with 18 to 25 minutes per game as the primary back up to Nathan, with the possibility of a few minutes at the four... He would be way more valuable than either Noel or Nolan was this year.

In 29 out of 30 games, he pulled down more than 10+ boards and a season high of 21. He isn't looking to play back up Center.

If Nate is healthy / cleared to play next season, then Marfo would play 20 mins/game at PF and 10 mins/game at C when Nate needs a breather.
If Nate isn't healthy, cleared, or otherwise up to full speed... Marfo would play 30+ mins/game at C.

Went back and looked at his video and he has a quick second jump, like Zion, clearly not Zion, but quick movements and the ability to jump multiple times when other will jump just once...
Now think he would be a perfect fit for the Aztecs and would do well alongside Nathan...

Marfo seems to be a very athletic guy - that over 25 schools are trying to sign - high quality teams
We do not know what level Nathan will be able to be able to contribute next year . Also how many minutes per game .
If we can sign Marfo and they are both able to perform at a high level would be a great situation - a difficult mismatch for any opponent - as it was with Nathan and Yanni -
Feel our coaches could find a good some great combinations for the variety of our players . More options the better off we would be .
Key of course is improving our defense and rebounding - areas that seemed to dip when Nathan was not playing

10+ rebounds a game is HUGE! It's a mindset and attitude. Don't care who it's against. I would take him in second.

I lettered in hockey and graduated from Quinnipiac, maybe I'll drop him a line.
