7 HR in 30 games is on track for 37 in 162. He fits in the lineup nicely behind Tatis/Machado/Hosmer. I’m glad he’s having a decent year. yeah, and he looks like he is having the most fun he has ever had as a Padre.

He had a very nice September. 77 AB's, .312 BA, .532 SLG, .897 OPS. sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/8859/splitsMyers is one of the few who actually hits better at Petco than he does on the road. He had an .877 OPS against LHP vs. .705 against righties, so he is an ideal candidate to platoon. Penciling him into the lineup card every day would be a mistake, no matter how much money he makes. SDP has OF depth this season. And .270+ after the all-star break overall. Myers was one of our most productive hitters late last year, so it's no surprise it's carried over to this year. Sure glad the guys upstairs didn't listen to their fans. He's looking more & more like the 2016 version every month. Hopefully this CV19 layoff doesn't hurt his momentum.

He has fit right in with the lineup this season, and I am pleasantly surprised.

I’m sure all of the regular posters are going to disagree, but I think Wil Myers is going to have a bounce back season. He kind of started to hit the end of last season, maybe the new manager can get his production dialed in. He’s 29, sometimes career years happen in the 28-32 range. It has been tough dealing him, he may be staying with the Padres. 35+ HRs for Wil. Take a late round flyer on him in your fantasy draft. I disagree with the majority of your takes but I'll give credit where it's due, you called this one. Among significant AB Pads Wil now #3 in BA and #1 in SLG/OPS, amazing turnaround.

I don’t think the Pads brought Grisham in to platoon him, he will be either in RF or CF until he slumps his way out of the lineup. Most of the depth charts seem to feel Pham in LF, Grisham in CF, Myers in RF. Margot will certainly get his ab’s, but I don’t think .235-.245 with limited bleacher reaching power is what the Padres are looking for in an everyday CF. If he hit .280 with a .340 OBP it would be a different story. Grisham belongs in right. He isn't a center fielder in the long-term sense. In an ideal world, they find a trade partner for Myers and Grisham slides to right. Still think there is a trade coming in the next month. I wonder if you changed your mind on this. Fangraphs has him #1 ranked defensive OF by a wide margin. He is ranked #2 overall defender after that 3B from Colo.
