To get a couple things out of the way, this post was made 2 days AFTER the House voted to impeach, and I do know the difference between Impeachment and Removal from office. That said, all of the news outlets who have told you Trump has been impeached are lying to you. He hasn’t, and there is a good chance he’ll never be impeached unless Trump wins reelection and the Democrats seize control of the Senate.
Allow me to explain.
Article 1, Section 2 of the US Constitution gives the House “the sole Power of Impeachment”. The House gets to decide if a President has been Impeached and no other branch can force how they handle that. Until the Impeachment happens, it is their ball on their court.
Article 1, Section 3 of the US Constitution gives the Senate “the sole Power to try all Impeachments”. If there is an Impeachment, the Senate gets to hold a trial. Once Impeachment happens it becomes the Senate’s ball on the Senate’s court.
As I write this the Senate cannot hold a trial because the House will not release the Articles of Impeachment. Because of Article 1, Section 3, this means the President has not yet been Impeached because if he had then the Senate would be able to hold a trial being that they have the power to try *ALL* Impeachments. The ball is still in the House, and no matter what they’re saying, President Trump has not been impeached.
Many have compared how impeachment works to that of how a Grand Jury works, and in this instance it is the perfect analog. In a Grand Jury proceeding the Grand Jury will vote to indict, but the vote itself is not the indictment. A defendant is not indicted until the indictment is filed with the court. The Democrats and Nancy Pelosi have done 98% of the work to impeach the President, but they are refusing to do the last 2%.
Will the House ever complete the process necessary to Impeach? I don’t know, but I doubt it so long as Mitch has control of the Senate. I think they’ll just talk as if they did and assume their base is too dumb to know the difference, but now you know. Donald Trump has not been Impeached and may never be impeached.

It’s not an impeachment. It is a coup. And it started ten minutes after he was elected.

Trump was impeached. Pelosi is a blatant f’ing idiot shtbag.
Both are true - but to the psot - Yes, Drumpfy was impeached. Send me your credentials if you want to argue otherwise, but I’ve probably got you beat and you’re even more probably wrong.
Ol’ DJT goes down in the books as the guy who paid for his BJs before getting into office. TBH, id much rather get in trouble for a side piece than for fellating a foreign govt.

Yes, Drumpfy was impeached. Send me your credentials if you want to argue otherwise, but I’ve probably got you beat and you’re even more probably wrong. If Trump was impeached then you have to answer why the Senate cannot have a trial. The delegation of constitutional powers is very clear. The Senate has the power to try ALL Impeachments. There are no conditions on that. It does not say the Senate has the power if the Speaker of the House says so. It does not say the Senate has the power to try if they receive articles of Impeachment. The Senate has the power to try ALL Impeachments. The only reason the Senate cannot currently hold an Impeachment trial is because technically there is no Impeachment for them to try. If the best you can do to hold up your statement is an argumentum ab auctoritate fallacy, that should have you questioning yourself.

He was impeached. He has not yet been tried. Pretty clear unless you’re a dummy, and you’re not one a those are ya?!

Trump will not be impeached so long as the Democrats think their Front runner is Joe Biden and the witnesses in the Senate trial might possibly include Hunter. Pelosi and Schumer are seeking a witness list apriori to the trial as a pretense in an attempt to block Hunter's subpoena (or to smoke out if Joe is toast). If they think Hunter will be forced to testify, they will throw in with another candidate, claim victimhood (as they do better than anyone) and impeach Trump without conviction consistent with their Chinese inspired "1000 cuts" strategy.

Trump was already impeached. Besides getting that wrong, you’re likely correct about the Bidens. Here’s hoping that whole family quietly goes away to live out their days in the woods with Bill and Hillary.

The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment. Yes, the House of Representatives has the sole power of impeachment. That actually proves my point, not yours. The term ‘impeachment’ is in present tense with regards to the House and infinitive with regards to the Senate. When an impeachment is in process, it is in the sole control of the House. All you have to do to answer the question over if Trump is in the process of impeachment or has been impeached is to ask who has current sole control of the process. If sole control is in the Senate then Trump has been impeached, and if sole control is in the House then Trump is in the process of impeachment. Trump has not been impeached. Trump is in the process of impeachment and so the Constitution dictates that the House has sole control of the issue. Your correctly pointing to the relevant Constitutional clause proves my point, and sinks yours. If Trump has been impeached, meaning the process has been completed and is now in the past tense then you have to convincingly argue why the Senate does not now have the power to conduct a trial. You have yet to do that.

Trump has not been impeached. This is mind-numbingly wrong. No, it is case law. There is no precedent to claim what you are claiming. I have no idea what definition for impeachment you have in mind but the Impeachment that is the process of the House of Representatives making a statement of charges against a government official, the requirements have not been satisfied. Trump has not been impeached and that is why the Senate cannot act.

The biggest sham in the last 100 years of American Politics, Trump’s impeachment will be remembered as a failed coup attempt. Even the bombastic Trump doesn’t deserve this. The Senate won’t remove him BTW, maybe if McCain was still around, but with the House impeachment charade, the Republicans now feel grossly disrespected. Any dirty trick is now on the table including postponing the vote/trial until the Iowa Caucus in February. That would make it difficult for Senators Sanders and Warren to campaign while the trial is happening.
Perfidy abounds!

U.S. Constitution: Art. I, Sec. 2, Clause 5
That portion of the Constitution says that the House of Representatives "shall have the sole Power of Impeachment."
The Congress did it by vote...no need for a trial or for the Senate to approve or disapprove anything...TRUMP IS IMPEACHED!!!...now and forever on.....

Then you have to read the relevant section of the Rules of the House of Representatives to discover what the House of Representatives says the House of Representatives needs to do to Impeach a President. If you had done that you'd know the process does not end with voting to adopt Articles of Impeachment. The House could change that procedure if they wanted but they haven't done it. Until they satisfy their own requirements or change the rules so that what they've done so far meets the requirements, President Trump has not been Impeached.
