Well they do televise our games, so there's that. However, he made specific compliments about us so I'd say it's genuine.

The Oracle just reemerged from a long hiatus away from this website to focus on soccer. But, the Oracle has been watching and has been impressed with the overall quality of this year's squad. Not only are they very talented, but there is a grit to this team that has been missing since the days of X Thames.
There are a number of reasons why this team is so good, but let's take last nights game as an example. The game was closer than what the final score would lead one to believe, but the second CSU went cold for a few minutes in the second half, SDSU seemed almost effortless in the way it just pulled itself into a 15, then eventually 20 point lead. This shows that other teams in our conference will need to play up to even compete with what the Oracle thought was an average performance last night by the Aztecs.
Also, isn't it such a relief that most players getting playing time are actually good at shooting FTs?! In particular, the fan base does not have to cringe and pray that our big men hit at least one of their FT attempts. The team and its fan base has never had it this good at the FT line.
Support the team and enjoy the ride gents. The Oracle had visions last night being with the Aztec gods while on Payote and they told the Oracle that this will be a special season. They also mentioned that "the Show" is still a shadow of its former self and has been weak sauce for several years now. They have told the Oracle that the Show must "nut up (exact words from one of the gods)" at games or face obscurity.
The Oracle and the Aztec gods have spoken.
PS: The Aztec gods also warned about Donald Trump being a false god who is truly an incompetent felonious criminal. The Oracle thought he would disclose this since our Aztec gods see things clearer than most and were pretty adamant that the Oracle share this with the Aztec faithful since they know some of you are in his cult. The Oracle digresses......Go Aztecs!

Lunardi currently has us as the second strongest 5 seed.
He’s officially forgiven for calling us SDST.

Matt Norlander needs to tell his coworker Gary Parrish to take note ;-) Parish screwed us over several years ago and is likely aware of just how much contempt many Aztecs hold for him. I don't expect him to hype us until it's so self-evident he would look foolish not to. Maybe if we sent him some (more) make-up makeup we could make up.

I was watching a halftime report during one of our games on CBS Sports right after it was concluded that we didn't do anything wrong and the other guys on set were joking about how much the Aztec fans love him (sarcastically), because Aztec fans were absolutely demolishing him on Twitter. It was great to see. So Parrish is definitely aware of how much we hate him

He published unverified, false information that damaged our program. Certainly seems like it’s something the school could’ve pursued if they wanted.

Has anyone ever noticed Gary Parrish's bios never say anything about him playing sports? I'm not sure if he even played basketball in middle school. He is basically just a journalist - I have no clue why anyone would value his opinion with basketball.

The team is 50 of its last 59 from the FT line (4 games). That's an 84.7% clip. Very impressive.

An A$$hole can tell a lie enough that some of his viewers will eventually take it as fact. Parrish is just a smack talking shill with his own secret agenda! JMO

He published unverified, false information that damaged our program. Certainly seems like it’s something the school could’ve pursued if they wanted. A few things: 1. You would have to prove he did it intentionally and with malice -- a very difficult thing to do in a court of law. 2. Sports teams, athletes and coaches are considered public figures, much like politicians. They're in the spotlight constantly. It's part of who they are and what they do. As such, they're open to discussion, criticism, speculation, etc. Athletes can't sue a fan for slander who yells, "You suck!" from the stands, even though the player might be really good, and, in fact, doesn't suck. Speculation and rumor are part of the sports universe. Who's getting traded. Who's getting fired. Who's injured. Who's doing juicing. Etc. Etc. 3. SDSU is a public institution. As such, it's open to public comment and speculation. Further, it's extremely doubtful that the university would spend taxpayer money on a longshot lawsuit. That would be irresponsible and university officials would likely get called out on the carpet -- or worse -- for backing such an endeavor. So, uh, no -- not ever gonna happen.

" The game was closer than what the final score would lead one to believe, but the second CSU went cold for a few minutes in the second half, SDSU seemed almost effortless in the way it just pulled itself into a 15, then eventually 20 point lead." I've heard this more than once today and I don't really agree with that assessment. If the game were 34 minutes long then you would be correct but with it being a 40 minute game the game wasn't closer than the score showed. We wore them down with our depth, defense and movement on offense. That is a direct cause from our play. The game wasn't closer because we wore them down and continued to play at a higher level than CSU could for the last six minutes. CSU had no legs to make shots on their nor defend us when we were on offense. That's what good teams do. I don't see any other way to look at a 20 point win.
