think they are 6-3 coming off 3 straight wins - have beaten WSU - CSU not an easy place to win on the road . Travel to get there is not easy and the altitude .
We are the favorite but hope we do not slip up. Their center is a good player so challenge for Nathan and Yanni - we did have problems with rebounding in the Iowa game - giving them way too many second chance opportunities. Do not want to let their home town fans get into the game

When I was there for football in early October, I made Moby my first stop. Since nobody was in there, I walked around on the court. It's a perfect shooter's backdrop (aside from the silly-looking Rams' head behind one of the baskets). It's not too big, and it's not too band-boxy.
I'd expect Jordan to do really well given the shooter's gym, and maybe for Flynn to fade a bit down the stretch (shots falling short) after a good start as I'd assume this is his first rodeo at altitude. I think Wetzel will struggle at first, but then find his sea legs and pick up where Flynn drops off in the scoring department. This game is where Dutch's ability to platoon and send them in in waves may pay off more than any other.
I still think the altitude thing is more mental than physical (and these Front Range schools from ABQ to Laramie never fail to let you know just where you are at on the altimeter), esp for 18-23 year olds. But whether real or imagined, you've got to account for it and get past it.

Yeah, the deal with altitude is no joke. There's literally less oxygen, therefore people not acclimated got tired faster. Thankfully we have an incredibly deep team and we can get our starters plenty of blows. Also, Mal will be fine, he's played at altitude in the Pac, Ooootah is at 5000+'.

The altitude is not a problem because the game is played inside. At least that's what Smokey Gaines told the team.

(aside from the silly-looking Rams' head behind one of the baskets). You mean the giant pen1s thing? Many, many, many years of watching us play CSU and I never saw it this way. Thanks a lot (sarc). I'll add this to my list of things that cannot be unseen.

Ha, I'm the opposite. First time I saw it I immediately wondered why they put a big dick in their arena and have wondered why it hasn't gone viral yet on the interwebs.

All the metrics say Colorado State is a slot or two ahead of Utah at the moment. Utah is neutral and CSU is on the road.
I’d really like to not stub our toe here. If we lose a game before January, this will be it.

If we lose a game before January, this will be it. Completely agree. I don’t like having conference games sandwiched in between non-conference games. I am worried about a let down after an emotional couple of days.

We gotta beat the spread. At this juncture that's important if we expect to get ranked.

Also, Mal will be fine, he's played at altitude in the Pac, Ooootah is at 5000+'. The Huntsman Center is 4,700 ft. Univ. of Colo. is 5,300 ft. Plus, Wazzu is at 2,300 ft., so not as much of a problem going from there to 4,700 or 5,300, compared to SDSU, which sits at 812 ft. Big difference, FWIW.

Imagination can turn little things into much bigger things than they really are. Gasping for air is very real....no way around it. We are fortunate to have a very deep team so guys can get a breather to regain form. If it was that big a deal, the Broncos, Avalanche and Nuggets would be perpetual world champions and unbeatable at home. My guess -- without even bothering to look it up -- is that neither of those is remotely true for any of those teams. It's a factor that is conquerable, repeatedly -- and, therefore, overrated. And seeing as how the football team did just fine at the same elevation 8 weeks ago, I'm guessing the basketball team will not just lay down and say "We couldn't cuz the elevation,,,"
