I hear where captain bone spurs is going to commandeer another military event to make it all about him. Probably mention the impeachment inquiry, of course.
My father, a "squared away" Marine who served two tours of duty in Vietnam would ,no doubt, have enjoyed this.
What Trump can take pride in, a song written by John Fogerty, was all about him.
Have a nice day.

Spare me. Clinton was draft dodger and GHWB and Dole were both valiant veterans and "the world owes me a living" Democrats couldn't care less. And speaking of phonies, do you know if Trump calls Medics "Corpse Man"?

Carter went to Annapolis and served on subs. GHWB got Jr. into a Air National Guard unit for rich kids which always seemed to get overlooked when deployment orders came up.
Republicans AND Democrats served with distinction in all conflicts. Inferring that Democrats couldn't care less is insulting to those (me included) that served.

Any Democrat having voted for Clinton and/or Obama in their elections and mocking Trump for his lack of military service is truly a joke. That is where I am going with it.

That strikes me as a very unfair criticism of W. Are you a pilot? If so, I give you great credit, since learning how to fly is no mean feat. Every time President Bush took off and landed his F-102, he took far greater risks to his life than did the anti-war protestors who fled to Canada. One of my colleagues lost her husband when his Mira Mar based helicopter crashed here in northern San Diego some 15 years ago. Make no mistake, military training is risky. Flying jet fighters is especially risky. A lot riskier than going to the UK when your fellow countrymen are serving. Isn't that what Bill Clinton did? (I read, but unfortunately did not save, a piece some years ago writen by a veteran who knew something about service in Vietnam. He specifically countered the cheap shots being hurled at W in the 2000s. Bush flew F-102s, and that particular plane was not being used in Vietnam. Had the U.S. decided to send his unit to 'Nam, W would have gone. Period.) I don't mind being critical of a POTUS. What I do mind is contriving every reason to heep crap on politicans for whatever flimsy reason comes to mind. One of the most pathetic examples of this was the anti-Romney cheap shot about putting a dog cage on top his car when on a trip. I'm sure there are many examples of this, regardless of party. And, regardless of party, such things are contempible. AzWm
