The Chargers under the Spanos ownership will not leave LA. The Chargers will never move back to San Diego. San Diego will never have another NFL team.

The Chargers under the Spanos ownership will not leave LA. The Chargers will never move back to San Diego. San Diego will never have another NFL team.
The Chargers backed themselves into a corner in San Diego and, once the Raiders were officially moving to Vegas, there really was no alternative at the time, but LA.
Never mind that I had a better chance of winning the California Lottery than the Chargers have in actually building a market in LA, the fact is the signs were always there, beginning with the first Chargers owner who realized, early on, the Chargers had no business in LA. Never mind the Chargers, regarding the "true" home team, that being The Rams, their biggest challenge is they're not USC or the Los Angeles Raiders.
Moving forward, until reality actually sets in, there will be more mindless claims regarding the future of the Chargers. Watching Sunday's convincing win over a good Packer team, I'm reminded again, it's not only the fans but
the players that have been victims of pure NFL greed and incompetent leadership.
In a perfect world, Spanos would actually wise up and sell the team, "take the money and run". Subsequent "ownership" would look at returning to San Diego not only with the team but a stadium on private or public land, providing space for commercial and college development, (classrooms, not a satellite campus), sparing my alma mater the challenge of spending the next eight to ten years trying to make wine our of water.
Failing that, there has to be other cities willing to pony up for an NFL team. The biggest challenge to that is the cities would have to deal with Spanos. That said, I do agree, with no place to go, Spanos will try and keep the team in LA until the stench is just too hard to overcome.
And that's truly sad.

Just when I thought I could completely agree with one of your posts, you somehow managed to again throw shade on SDSU.

As long as Dean or anyone else named Spanos owns the team I for one am perfectly fine w the team staying in LA. So the chargers led by the Spanoses will only continue being what they already are, which is a national laughingstock.
