Yes, he went to U$C, but slipped from 2nd string as a freshman to 4th as a sophomore....not exactly encouraging progress. Another classic case of being another small fish in a big pond full of 5 star players (with more arriving every year). Why not be a big fish in a small pond? Come to SDSU. Oldie Out Why Soitenly! That is exactly what Dennis Shaw did, and he was the last Aztec QB to lead us to an undefeated season and a bowl victory in the JR. Rose Bowl against Boston Univ. in 1969. Shaw still owns the Aztec record for passing TD's in one season at 39, and in one game set then an NCAA record with 9 TD's in one game! So, I would say that former U$C QB's are definitely a great way to go!!!

Has SDSU ever landed such a highly-ranked player? He was something like the number 4 pro style QB nationally coming out of HS

Has SDSU ever landed such a highly-ranked player? He was something like the number 4 pro style QB nationally coming out of HS We all know that recruiting services are sketchy, but with a #4 national ranking you can assume the guy has talent. The question will be more about how he fits in with the team, attitude, leadership and ability to read defenses. Still, it's exciting to get a QB with a big upside. David Cutcliffe recruited him out of HS and he certainly knows a thing or two about the position.

I read somewhere, I think the Facebook SDSU Football fan group that maybe a WR or 2 might come with him. USC has a log jam of really talented WRs and not enough playing time for all of them. If that's the case, I'd say that qualifies for leadership.

Great news, if our oline can remember how to run block were gonna be in for a great season Remember how to run block, plus learn how to pass block... How about just execute, and block...... consistently. Having a legitimate passing game to add balance will do wonders for the running game. Big question? Is the OC up to the task. I don't have to mention any names.

I think you have a better chance of winning the Big10 title playing at FIU than you do playing at Northwestern. If Sears said he wanted to get an MBA from Kellog, then I get it. But for a Big10 title, nah that's fantasy.

When will it be official and coaches can speak about him? Can't comment on Transfers until they have signed their grant in aid and enrolled and attend the first day of class.

Chuck Long wasted Lynell. I loved the fact that Chuck Long's work didn't impede Hamilton from getting a Super Bowl ring with the Saints.

IF he does sign - is he part of the 2020 recruiting class and go on scholarship Jan 2020 so he can participate in Spring
So coaches would have to wait until he attends classes not when he signs paperwork
Will also be very interested in the style of offense we try to play this year -
