Here in SLC a mass shooting occurred at Trolly Square, only five killed, (that means the human garbage is getting more skilled).
As this shooting happened in 2007, we're obviously overdue.

Too many rats in the experiment. Carrying capacity and critical mass were exceeded somewhere in the early 1970's. Easy access to military style weapons allows a complete loser to make a big statement. Think about how many weak losers are in the US?....scary.

I knew better, having been twice married to two Texas girls, I was thinking of the wrong state. Allen is a part of Dallas so it means this human waste was on a mission, given the amount of driving time involved. The fact that he quietly surrendered to police tells me in his sick mind this was mission accomplished and he probably considered himself a martyr. The only silver lining in all this, as a resident of Texas, where they're still frying 'em like chickens, I see this turd being maggot food within two years. That is, if Latino inmates don't carve him up first. A total waste of a human life. |

Right versus left doesn't matter when the millenials are facing the $#!+ hole we have left them. My daughter and husband make $250,000 combined in SF and dont stand a chance to buy. Meanwhile, I paid $90 a semester to go to State and bought a nice house in poway for $140,000. The millenials best case scenario is if all the baby boomers croak tomorrow. I can't name one 60 + year old I know who wishes they were 21 again right now. yea, they'd take the body, but not the times. We grew up in times that were sick good when compared historically. expect more to snap....

Nearly every mass shooting since the late 80's has involved prescription drugs. Mostly over prescribed antidepressants and benzodiazepines. Here are some more facts. Nearly 100,000 people are going to die nationally in direct correlation with prescription drugs. That includes people who turn to the streets to get their fix because they can't get a prescription from the shithead doctors and psychiatrists that over prescribed and got them hooked in the first place. There is an opiod problem in this country. Most heroin addicts in the US over the last 30 years started using at the doctors office. However, there is also a psychiatric medication problem that no one wants to talk about. It might be worse. 1 in 5 people are walking around on some type of psychiatric medication in the US. The millenials best case scenario is if all the baby boomers croak tomorrow. This is an interesting take, but the millennials wouldn’t be fixed even if Thanos snapped the Boomers into dust. Social groups don’t work that way. If you want a frightening insight into social group dynamics, search the term ‘behavioral sink’. That will bring up links to the so-called Mouse Utopia Experiments. The experiments were originally set up to explore the effects of overcrowding but they discovered something much darker. Habitats were set up that had unlimited food, water, clean nesting material, and abundant but fixed nesting space in a disease free, predator free environment. They started with a small number of male and female rodents in the habitat. At first the population exploded as predicted, but after several generations something bizarre happened. The colony died. They ran the experiment many, many times and the result was the same. The colony died. The mice never reached the population limit of the habitat. A sizeable portion of the nesting boxes went unused. There was no disease or health problem that caused the entire society, right down to the very last mouse, to die. It was behavioral changes. A few male mice would become hyper-masculine while many or most other males lost any interest in mating or interacting. The drop-out males would just groom themselves all day, and were termed ‘the beautiful ones’ by researchers. Meanwhile female mice would take on more masculine behaviors and stop caring for their pinkies. They’d give birth and simply walk off leaving them to die. The truly frightening aspect was that when researchers would notice the behavioral changes, they removed some of the behavior changed mice and put them into groups of normal mice. The behavior changed mice never integrated. The behavior changed mice never reverted. The damage was permanent. Young men aren’t dating or having sex at the same rate other generations have. Young men aren’t going to university. Suicide among young men has skyrocketed. Opioid use has skyrocketed, and anti-societal events like mass shootings have skyrocketed. Young women more and more are taking on the traditionally masculine role of being resource providers rather than starting families. I don’t know that there is an answer, but I don’t think your suggestion of killing all Boomers would do the trick. I also don’t think additional gun control legislation will have any affect. The disaffected will simply rent trucks to plow through pedestrians, strap on suicide vests, fly explosives or nerve toxin laden drones into crowds. If you really want to fix the problem, you’ve got to make these young men see that they have a stake in society. Anything else is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. |
