The dodgers lost only their 2nd home series. The last series they lost at home was in April against the Brewers. In that series the Dodgers starters were Urias, Ferguson, and Stripling. The Padres faced Ryu, Kershaw, Maeda, and Stripling. Not an ERA among them above 4.00. To find the last 3 Dodger loses at home you would have to go back to May 28. Since then the Dodgers were 17-2 at home. The Padres came into this series with a 4 game losing streak and faced an 8 game losing streak possibility going into the all-star break. Very nice series win for the boys.
The bullpen pitched 12 innings in the 4 game series and only gave up 1 run.

Nice series to get back to what this team is...A .500 ballclub. Stay the course, let some younger guys develop and they are well positioned to make a charge next year with some additional pieces and depth.

Despite it being a losing effort, I was impressed with Lamet's performance against the Dodgers. That will really help the Padres this 2nd half of the season
