How many national league teams have scored more runs per game on the road then the Padres? 3 teams: D-Backs 250, Mets 206, Cubs 193, then the Padres at 190 (going into tonight). The problem is, they have given up the 2nd most road runs, at 212. Record on the road--17-20. The Padres are 13th in runs scored at home, with 153. Runs allowed at home, 168 (8th in the NL). Home record--21-20.

"Per game"... I guess you missed that part. Irrelevant, as it turns out, since they have given up too many runs on the road "per game".

It's not irrelevant when you using stats to try to understand this team. The Padres have the second best offense in the National League on the road. Only the Diamondbacks have scored more runs per game on the road than the Padres. I find that to be very interesting. I guess Petco Park Isn't So neutral.

They score more, and give up more, on the road. What does that get you? A record below .500 on the road.

And that Petco Park after seeming to Trend more neutral is back to being an extreme pitcher's Park. You act as if every post I make is saying hey look the Padres are good, since every response you make seems to be hey look the Padres are bad.

So many stats that can tell different people different things.

After today's win the Pads are 1 game under .500 on the road, very respectable considering where they've been over the past decade. Now if they could just get to 10 over .500 or so at home they'd be in a wild card spot.
