Even though Kevin Durant only played for a total of twelve minutes in game five of the NBA Finals on Monday his presence probably helped inspire the Warriors to go on and win the game. He scored 11 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, and had a blocked shot. With him showing up to play reminded me of the Finals game back in 1970 when N.Y. injured center, Willis Reed, showed up in the game in Garden vs. Los Angeles. He had been out due to a serious leg injury, and could barely move around, but here he was helping out. He got a rebound, he scored, and he was only in the game for just a few minutes, but it so excited his teammates they went on to beat the Lakers in that game!
Not sure if Golden State has the momentum back, and can play that way again even at home, but it does show you how much enthusiasm can be created when one of your best players comes back to try and help.
Toronto still with all that only lost the game by one measly point. So, if they play determined like they have in the two previous games in California the series will be theirs tonight. Probably will be very close.

It's Toronto's for the taking, if they really want it.

Both teams will play hard and be determined, it’s the nba finals for f****s sake. That won’t determine the outcome

As long as the rich boys on the sidelines don't shove anyone after going after a loose ball.

FIFY If I might add, Kawhi was also 2x MVP of the finals for two different teams He is one of three players to hold this distinction with LBJ and Abdul-Jabar. Pretty significant group to be in.

Living life. What you know is important, but damn, who you know can take a long ways and make your trek a bit shorter. Congrats to Jeremy! He is the Player Development coach for the Raptors and is wanting to become an NBA coach.

A great hard working player from the Inland Empire is now an NBA Champion AGAIN! FIFY Yes, aztecz, I knew that, but I was only paying attention to last night. And, not only was he MVP with two different teams, but he is the First player to do that with different conferences. One from the West, and one from the East! Amazing!!!!!! Plus, his San Antonio team had many more great players on it to help him! But you can bet after this Finals the NBA and basketball media will be paying closer attention to Lowry, Van Fleet, and the great young star Siakam! He scored 23 points, had 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block last night! Great complete team victory for Toronto!
