Headed to the Trail Blazer mini-camp, he posted impressive numbers this season in the Chinese Basketball Association, averaging 32.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, eight assists, and 2.4 steals per game, took part in a free agent mini camp with the Sacramento Kings in May.

It would be nice to see Jamaal, Jalen and Kawhi in the NBA 2019/2020.

Blazers would be stupid not to offer this guy a multi year deal.
They need depth at guard.

I’d be ecstatic if Jamaal could grab a spot on an NBA team.

Maal-So-Hard is arguably the best athlete to ever play at SDSU.
As far as his NBA chances at this point, he turns 28 in two weeks. The average age of an NBA player is 26.

among the all-time photo ops was the pass-to-self-off-backboard-for-soaring-slam
down side - falling for UCON flop, earning the tech that may have changed the game that kept Kawhi and crew out of final four.

Jamaal has a similar work ethic, passion for the game, and will to win as Kawhi. I hope he's back playing in the NBA next season.

IMO, the B.S. technical called on Kawhi was far more damaging to the team than Jamaal's T. They were both damaging and both b.s. But Franklin's definitely hurt the most because it happened late in the game and SDSU had a run and momentum going. KL's hurt, but the team had time to recover. Further, Franklin's shoulder shrug of Kemba, which triggered and Oscar-worthy flop, was one of the most bone-headd actions I've ever seen an Aztec take on a court. And I've seen a lot. Just a miserably stupid play by JF.

Just a miserably stupid play by JF. Since Fisher chose to bench JF after the technical flop, it hurt even more not having him on the floor. Kawhi was also relegated to the bench after the T really hurting the team. Hard to believe KL was the only one talking smack, I think the official may have been paid off for the call. We all know how much smack KL talks, almost none. What a major crock.

Gwynn was a fantastic athlete in college. But he wasn't freakishly athletic like Franklin. It's important to know that Franklin set his high school's record in the high jump -- Fosbury flopping over 7-feet on several occasions. For those who don't follow track and field, anyone who high jumps over 7 feet is automatically considered world class. That's the gold standard for that event. And Franklin did that in high school. As evidence of his leaping ability, there was a tweet with a photo -- as well as a posting here several years ago -- of Franklin grinning, his mouth bloody and his front tooth cracked off. He'd gone up for a rebound during a summer league game and hit his mouth on the rim. That's nuts. That's also some serious elevation. As for the off-the-backboard throwdown against FSU, I first saw Franklin execute that play during warm-ups early in his freshman year. I had arrived early for either the St. Mary's game or Wichita St. game -- I forget which -- and Fisher called everyone back to the bench for a huddle. I saw this lanky kid stay out on the court, take off from mid-court, dribble a couple of times, toss the ball of the backboard and slam the ball with authority. I remember thinking, WTF?!? Who is this guy? I had to look him up online. I've been a fan ever since. Further, he used to do that play at the end of every pre-game warmup. I was stoked to finally see him do it in a game. Best play ever. Having said all that, his T against UConn was the worst play ever. It was completely premeditated and utterly stupid. Right in front of the official and right in front of the UConn bench. What the h*ll did he think was going to happen. Kemba suckered him into that, as well. He'd seen tape of Franklin shoulder shrugging Jimmer a few days before in the MGC game. And Franklin took the bait -- hook, line and sinker. I'm convinced that if Franklin had just walked back to the SDSU bench without making a detour, SDSU would've won that game, and that team would've made it to the Elite Eight, Final Four or, who knows, maybe even a national title. Worst play ever.
