Shakur Juiston. He can be plugged in for Jalen and can produce a double/double most nights. Greatly strengthens the Aztecs across the front line! With the Mensahs, Mitchell, Schakel, Yanni, Arop and Johnson the Aztecs will be very good and deep.
Having Flynn, Feagin, Pulliam and Seiko in the backcourt makes the Aztecs a top contender to be the Big Goat in the conference.
An invite to the Big Dance beckons.

Ziegler thinks SDSU will hold the last scholarship to see if there are any late transfers like Matt Mitchell 2 years ago.

Mitchell was not really a "transfer" since he never played at CSU Fullerton. The kid just changed his mind about starting school near Disneyland; and versus by Mission Beach. Good for us. He came in as a true Freshman. Now going into his Junior year

Anyone who is asked to leave the team should have already been removed or notified (who knows...maybe that was Ed Chang's backstory)...at this point in time however...the team coming back should be be set... |

Could be a Matt Mitchell situation, last minute offers for 3-star players.

Just so I'm clear...you are advocating the following strategy (and please correct me if I'm wrong): 1. Quickly fill all open roster slots with the highest available player(s) as soon as possible so there are no roster openings...preferably in the November early signing period...(I'm still not sure of your actual definition of best available player...recruit only 5-star players with significant blue-blood competition for the players' services...or recruit 3-4-star players who actually might come to SDSU in November if offered...you need to help me by clarifying on this point) 2. As better players become available in the Spring or via end-of-season transfers...start cutting the "lowest performing players" and/or early signers currently on the roster to add additional players perceived to have more talent or a higher ceiling - "Lowest performing players" could be an evaluation based on their game stats, even with very limited freshman minutes...with perhaps the logic, if they were good, they would be on the floor during a game so they must not be any good. 3. Either forget about late commits or mid-year transfers...or cut a player from the team late or even mid-year (not sure though if cutting a player mid-year is legal) in order to make room on the roster if a significant player suddenly becomes available late in the process. Again, correct me if I got your team-building philosophy wrong...I'm just trying to understand |
