Use Boogie to convince Jaden to make the SDSU decision and create the top recruiting class in SDSU history? I like that. Or maybe Jaden convinced Boogie to join him at SDSU.

Hard to beat some of those schools on his new list. Virginia has a great program but is very strong on playing hard defense. In the games I’ve watched him in, Boogie is much more offensive minded. Georgetown might be too blue collar for him. But Gonzaga would check a number of boxes for him. Hopefully Arizona has run out of payoff money. Oregon has lots of room on their roster and bottomless Nike moneybags. Kansas has history, money and lots of exposure. Washington offers a P 5 West coast school and a chance to be in a great recruiting class with maybe Jaden McD.

This is going to be fascinating to see how this plays out. 2 scholarships available. Targets/Potential Targets:Jaden McDaniels Justice Sueing Jemarl Baker Miles Norris Boogie Ellis Yanni Wetzel I am not sure about Yanni, but if we could land 2 of the other 5 I'd be ecstatic. We really need an article from Zeigler on recruiting. Don’t assume there are just 2 spots, if we land a couple of the big time recruits to include Jaden and Boogie there are others that likely leave.

People silly if you think Dutcher wont boot Seiko or one of the transfers for Boogie and/or Jaden. We will make room.

We have 2 open scholarships so maybe he keeps one open for Boogie/Jaden but he would not revoke a scholarship from Seiko or one of the guys he just made a commitment too.

I stand by the team and the coaches should too. Their primary job is to assemble the best possible roster. You can’t do that by turning away top talent. You can’t do that with 12 scholarship players. You can’t do that by sticking with mediocre talent when better options become available.

I had a feeling...I know his coaches and he's got good support around him. I have zero clue if sdsu is in the mix but I sure hope so. Does his coach know where we stand?

From Zeigler, here is what his coach had to say: “San Diego State was right there,” Mission Bay High coach Marshawn Cherry said in November. “He has a great relationship with (coach Brian Dutcher) and the other coaches. They’re great.”

From Zeigler in the UT: “The math starts getting interesting, too. If Dutcher lands three of them, he’d have 14 scholarship players with only 13 allotted scholarships. If he gets four, that’s 15. If it seems counterintuitive, you haven’t been following college basketball lately. It’s actually more common than you’d think to momentarily have more commitments than actual scholarships. A year ago, when twins Caleb and Cody Martin withdrew from the NBA Draft and returned to Nevada for their senior year, that left the Wolf Pack with 15 scholarship players. In late June, Josh Hall – who scored the winning basket in the epic NCAA Tournament comeback against Cincinnati – transferred to Missouri State. A week later, senior guard Ehab Amin was headed to Oregon without ever suiting up at Nevada. This spring, another Mountain West school is in a similar situation. On Wednesday, New Mexico signed 6-11 center Antwan January, giving the Lobos 15 scholarship players for the 2019-20 season.“

Targets/Potential Targets:
Jaden McDaniels---High School Justice Sueing---sit one/play 2 Jemarl Baker---sit one/play2 Miles Norris---sit one/ play3 Boogie Ellis---High School Yanni Wetzel---Grad transfer-play 1 Shakur Juiston---Grad Transfer-play 1

Baker could be a sit 1, play 3 with the medical redshirt although I’m not sure how likely that is (hard to tell with the NCAA). Also, I’d love Juiston, but there’s been no official mention of SDSU and he wasn’t mentioned in the Zeigler article so I’m not counting on him as an option.

Dutcher is way to ethical to pull a scholarship from Seiko, Pulliam or KJ at this point. That's not the way it works.
