Would think we have to go after him despite our guard situation.

Not sure if this is official. I'm not seeing this news anywhere other than this guy's unverified twitter page

Definitely not official yet, but MGRADS is very well connected and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see an announcement soon.

I haven’t seen this either. If it is true, you absolutely pursue Ellis.

I guess you feel like you're the centerpiece of a recruiting class when Coach K lets you kiss his ring. But as you watch the McDonald's All-Americans pile up you probably start to get a whiff of reality. If you add that to Tre Jones coming back at point guard, the writing is kind of on the wall. Don't think we have a chance until a possible bounce-back scenario.

Tre Jones coming back + Cassius Stanley committing to them. Tough situation for him to go into, made the right call imo. Be the hometown hero Boogie

But with three new guards in front of him, why would he come back here? Not sure he would start over Flynn.

I like the idea of it but I'm afraid Mitchell, Mensah and Shakel would rack up too many fouls trying to hit the boards. We would have to hit a ton of three's to offset that. Would be fun to watch though.

His final 3 were Duke, UNC, & SDSU. Top 5 were Duke, UNC, Memphis, USC and SDSU
UNC is just about as stacked at Guard as Duke, so I can't fathom that being an option.
So... it's a decent guess to say that SDSU, Memphis, and USC will be among his top choices now.
USC returns 4 Guards and has 3 signed.
Memphis return 4 Guards and has 1 signed.
I'd say odds are SDSU or Memphis.
For Memphis, their three best returning guards (best I can tell) will all be Sophmores next season.
For the Aztecs, Boogie would bump Seiko from the rotation behind Flynn & Keagin... the Aztecs' 3 best guards are all upperclassmen. I think it's a good fit and will mostly depend on whether or not he wants to stay at home.

Not to get too ahead of ourselves, but to continue some speculation of other posters...
If he comes here I think you go small and do Feagan, Flynn, and Boogie all starting with Mensah and probably Mitchell rounding out the starting 5. We tried it and failed last year but we didn't have the horses to execute it. Mensah would be a better anchor at the 5 than McD was in the small ball lineup, so I think it'd work much better

Oregon has 6 scholarships open.

We still have 2 open scholarships...
If we had a full roster already (as a particular poster has been strongly advocating)...it wouldn’t even be a subject of debate...
Not sure if Dutch is still interested in pursuing Boogie...but adding Jaden and Boogie are still a possibility at this point in time...

Is there any room for Boogie now? Now that Pulliam and Feagin are both are in, SDSU has room for maybe 1 more guard. Would you rather have Boogie or Baker? Feagin only has one season so Baker coming in would wait a year and then take over for Feagin. Boogie would could come in now, but there would be a log jam at guard (4 guards plus Seiko).

If we somehow added Boogie and Jaden we would have one of the top recruiting classes in the country.
