We did recruit him out of high school in SD. Very athletic 6'10" player and I'm hopeful that we will go after him again.

Local S.D. kid from Mater Dei Catholic and Helix HS. 5-star on Scout and Rivals and 4 on ESPN. Participated in the 2016 USA U17 world championship team training camp. We have to be in his consideration set. I would imagine Nevada, may also come into play in the MWC. Plenty of spots and minutes on that team.
And then there is Pepperdine under Lorenzo Romar, plus they have two Oregon players: MJ Cage and Kieth Smith, both Aztec recruits. Smith was committed before he decided to sign with the Ducks. FYI his Mother, Christina Metzger, was a three-year letterwinner in women’s basketball at Oregon (1982-84).
Maybe he will come like like Kameron Rooks.

Warren Washington also leaving from Oregon state. Next year, Boogie Ellis will leave Duke. SMH with these kids nowadays. Go to a school that will prioritize you and showcase you.

Zylan could have gone straight to ASU... Joking. Things don’t always work out. Sometimes a change of scenery really helps.

MWC Wire, has the Aztecs interested in Jemarl Baker from Kentucky, Miles Norris from Oregon, and Warren Washington from Oregon State. Add to that former Buffalo commit Andre Allen who heard from the Aztecs and it seems likely that the Aztecs will get those two spots filled up.

I don't think he's saying they are interested...he's speculating just like folks do on this board. Norris seems like an obvious target for the staff to go after and will be interesting how they balance next year's team's needs (especially with Arop injury) vs. long-term. For example, I'd love both Sueing and Norris as sit-out transfers, but that'd leave the 19-20 team a little lacking in the bigs department unless we get a big leap for Joel Mensah and/or immediate contribution from Johnson.

He's saying that there are interesting names available and speculating that the Aztecs may be interested.

He's saying that there are interesting names available and speculating that the Aztecs may be interested. Baker has scheduled a visit, ESPN and CBS have confirmed the Aztecs has reached out to Washington, as they have with Boogie, and I am sure we will hear that Dutch, Morris or Dave V, has texted or called Norris. We know that Palmer hasn't.
