3 guards are not starting, and rebounding/defense was good down stretch with Mensah in starting lineup. Offense was the problem Defense and rebounding were a problem with a starting lineup that featured Mitchell at the four, Jordan at the three, and McDaniels at the five. If we roll out a team with three guards, Mitchell/ Arop at the four, and Mensah at the five we will struggle. Those struggles will start with defense and rebounding. That’s a good defensive/rebounding lineup. So no that would not be the start of the struggles

Well surely the coaches that recruited them think he’s good. That doesn’t necessarily mean he is tho

Confirmation of actual SDSU interest. Eder is Matt Mitchell's trainer.

Confirmation of actual SDSU interest. Eder is Matt Mitchell's trainer. Usual Suspects: ASU, U of A, CAL, Utah, Fresneck, UCSB, St Mary's. And those schools we typically don't recruit against: Providence (history of NCAA invites), Marquette (Steve Wojciechowski, 20 game winner) and Nebraska (Fred Hoiberg, has some serious pull as Iowa State was built on Transfers) I assume we get at least a visit. Right?

Lets make a push to get the best talent available, and Baker has talent.

IN San Diego Friday trough Sunday, show the kid some love. Underrated shooter and defender. Good SEC exeprinece. Worth the offer. Dutch will have some tough choices to make this spring/summer.

Granted that his former coach is biased, I am much higher on him now after reading his comments on Baker. Would hope we get either Baker or Sueing at this point. Both seem like they could be all-conference players for SDSU pretty much right away.

Currently visiting Fresno State. Sounds like he's planning on visiting 3 more as well (Arizona, Arizona State and Marquette) so a decision seems like it won't happen soon.

would need to out recruit Coach Hut , and both Arizona schools - so not as simple as some may think to get him - not sure how they are for PT for him

U of A has nothing but guards and perhaps sanctions with Sean Miller. ASU will have 2 spots open, when they sign PF Andre Allen. Fresno State look like us, expierence in the backcourt and no Frosh/Sophs.
Marquette many spots/a few key transfers out.
I thought Baker was looking to be back in the West, closer to home. I'd say its SDSU or Fresno State (Dutch v Hut)

My guess is that Baker is our #1 target right now.

My guess is that Baker is our #1 target right now. Gotta think we’re making a hard push for Baker, Sueing, Boogie and Jaden, and we’ll take any and all of them who want to come. Seems like Baker and Sueing are heavily considering us, and it would be excellent to get both. Jaden is a wildcard, but we’re still in the mix - Wetzell signing probably hurts us there/telegraphs our chances. Haven’t heard a word connecting Boogie to us after the decommit (besides an MGRADS twitter comment), but we’d be silly not to keep calling.
