Nevada sure does a great job recruiting We do a better job. I'll take our roster over theirs this year every time.

Center Loius Bengal from UNLV to GCU. I am not sure when in the last decade Louis Bengal played CBB.

Maybe we should try going with 11 scholarships for the next three years. We only play five at a time. Heck, if we go with a 7 man rotation we could thrive with only 10 players.

more important then having 13 on scholarship is having the opportunity to add a Quality player- if one should open up during the summer or possibly mid year

We’ve had the opportunity to add quality players and have failed to do so for three years running. Why pretend that the only options are to add another lackluster player or wait for a quality player to become available? The truth is we rarely if ever add players mid-season. The truth is that there are far more quality players available early rather than later. This isn’t a strategy it’s a pattern of failure.

agree would be better to add Quality players Earlier If our coaches were able to do it . But they are not always able to do it as we have seen .
Today we are at 12 for the 2019 season so If a Quality guy is there then you add one but if not then why just add someone to get to 13. Can always move a walk on to scholarship in Jan
2020 we have 1 recruit and hope we can get more Quality guys - key is being able to get Quality guys that want to come here . That is why the recruiting this summer fall is so important . Make it or break it time for the HS recruits - the transfers come later as they hit the transfer portal
Bottom line recruiting has to improve and Developing recruits also - Also with the realization that it is not that easy for Non P6 to sign High Quality HS recruits while we are in the MW . Has also been a problem even getting the better transfers . We finished second to the guys that chose Arizona and Buckeyes but being close does not solve the problem . Hope the coaching staff can do better

Huge get for UNLV, Donnie Tillman 6'7" SF and PAC 6th man-of-the-year transfers to the Rebs. Went to Findlay Prep for HS. Averaged 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds while shooting 36.1% from three as a Sophomore. According to sources, family situation prompted transfer and he’ll be eligible to play this season.

or Tillman can elect turn test the NBA waters, past Aztec recruit out of Findlay, selected Utah in the PAC. Left to be closer to an ailing mother, as the story does.

looking to see if he gets a waiver to play this year - as he wants to be closer to his mother who lives in Las Vegas . Believe she had successful operation
he did put his name in NBA draft this past year then with drew it so definitely looking at NBA
also interesting to note that former assistant coach at Utah - DeMarlo Slocum left Utah earlier -to become an assistant coach at UNLV - probably just a coincidence

Eight (8) scholarship players have now transferred from Utah this year. Vonte Hendrix and Chris Seely at Fresno State, while Donnie Tillman is at UNLV. Naseem Gaskin is a (RS) Freshman 3-star out of Bishop O'Dowd in the O-town & Bay Area. utahutes.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9158
