No thanks. Not a player the Aztecs should go after.

The Dutch Fish Hut's Wings 'n Things was one of the most prolific food-themed franchises in college hoops history... Kawhi, Jamaal, Winston, Malik, Jalen... I say keep the pipeline full.

His teammate Devontae Cacok averaged 12.3 rebounds a game and is the same size. 4.6 rebounds a game is pretty lame when all those rebounds were available. 0.5 assists 1.4 turnovers that is a terrible ratio. 0.5 steals a game. 0.5 blocks a game. 31% 3 point shooter. 7.8 2 point attempts a game shooting under 50% and only got to the line for 3.8 FTA...so he doesn't draw fouls. All that with terrible schedule. UNCW's average opponent's defense was #289 according to Kenpom. The only MWC team with a defense ranked below their average opponent was SJSU.
What does he do well? What exactly do you think he brings to the Aztecs?

have there been any comments from Nolan N if he will stay here or leave as grad transfer I can’t imagine a scenario where he would announce his intention “not to transfer.”

since there was an article( earlier this year) saying an Aztec might transfer out ? Wonder if any of the players have told the coaches they are coming back or might transfer out ?

Players don’t announce that they are coming back. They just come back. The article you referenced merely pointed to the possibility. It was a reminder that it is very common for players to leave a team before completing their eligibility. It didn’t indicate that a transfer was imminent. Zeigler didn’t imply that a particular player was discussing his intention to transfer. The coaches certainly aren’t asking players to leave. Scholarships remain open.

since there was an article( earlier this year) saying an Aztec might transfer out ? Wonder if any of the players have told the coaches they are coming back or might transfer out ? Articles or not, I would say that pretty much every year, in most every D1 program, there are players considering transferring. It's become the norm. Whether the player is your 13th player, or a starter determines the impact. Ben Perez is a recent example of a guy who felt he should and would get PT in another program, and it proved to be a good move for him. But, did it impact the Aztecs significantly? I don't think so. I think that of the players on our current roster, Narain would be the most likely to transfer. Would that be a significant loss? Not sure...would J. Mensah be considered an upgrade over the minutes we got from Narain this year? Those two guys need to really put in some work this summer to push N. Mensah to be the best he can be next year as well. I mean the guys you practice against in November set you up for the season. While I hate bagging on a young guy (probably trying his best), I say that a graduate transfer at the 5 who is an upgrade from Narain is a priority. If that happens then I would say it will push Narain to look elsewhere.
