Eric Lauer Wil Myers Fernando tatis jr.
Wil Myers throwing out a base runner at second off of a ball that bounced off the corner left field wall really stood out defensively. He also held to long single a hit that could easily have been a double in the first inning. Of course his home run RBI single and a nice plate appearance where he earned a walk where outstanding.
This was Eric Lauer's fourth scoreless outing in his last six starts(3 runs). That streak started after he came off the DL last September. He is our Ace. So happy for the young man!
Fernando tatis jr with back-to-back singles to start his major league career including a beautiful bunt in his second at-bat. There was a mix-up on a pop fly that dropped for a force out at second base thanks to a heads-up play by Manny Machado. Later Fernando tatis Junior reminded me of Garry Templeton while going back to catch a looping fly in short left. He is going to be so fun to watch!

I read that he was the youngest player since Yount in '75 to have two hits in his MLB debut. I'm stoked for this season (for the first time in nearly a decade).

Tatis went 2nd to home on a one out single to right that was right at the right fielder, who charged and made a strong throw. He beat it rather easily. He is very fast.

His sprint speed has been clocked at 31.3 feet/second. 30 is considered elite. He's fast.
