Our problems are extremely complex..but let me ask you a question. I paid $90 a semester to go to SDSU in 1976. were we a socialist country back then? How did I get away with that? Is it the case today that colleges became big business and the monster it became just wanted to make as much money as they could?..I went to physical therapy last week and the poor young lady has to work 6 10 hour days a week to help pay off the $150,000 student loan she has. You have to have a PhD to be a physical therapist today. Are those st the top who developed this paradigm Democrats or Republicans?..or are they a combo of both??. Be very careful with blaming s certain ideology on the issues facing us today. It gives you somebody you hate, but it doesnt tell the whole story. I think you and I are somewhat on the same page. I say somewhat. I have been a registered Democrat for 35 years but I am leaning slightly right of center these days though. However, if you have been paying attention to my posts over the years, you would realize that I'm sick of both the major political parties of the United States. Especially the establishment. They represent themselves and not the average American. They both pass horrible legislation that allows the fleecing of U.S. citizens by corporate America. Just look at how much the pharmaceutical companies have lobbied Congress over the years. 10.5 billion over ten years. Both Democrats and Republicans recently passed some of the worst drug legislation in the history of the U.S. that allows rogue pharmaceuticals to continue business as usual. And it was unanimous. Meanwhile, thousands of Americans die every year in direct correlation from prescription drugs. The insurance industry continues to rip us off and do everything to not pay claims. And you are right, about the universities throughout the U.S. becoming nothing but money mongers. Forcing incoming freshman and sophomores to live on campus is an example. Establishment Democrats and Republicans are the same thing, they just hide it differently. $$$$$. The clown show that's currently taking place on Capital Hill is disgusting. Every American regardless of political affiliation should be embarrassed. The rest world is laughing at us. And to stick to topic of OP's thread, we have people thinking Trump is the only political figure that has a narcissistic personality disorder. How can millionaires and billionaires represent people making 40K a year? And for many, even less. Where is all of our tax money going? We need a major third party to get serious and get back to representing the people. Good luck though. I hear you on this. What is a bit surprising to me is that when people got pissed in the 60's and 70's, they took to the streets en masse. It Actually was a violent time, but it evoked change. As upset as people are about certain aspects of our society and government, it is awfully quiet out there. Maybe people are just compfortable to complain about things on their smart phones..... ?

Are those st the top who developed this paradigm Democrats or Republicans?..or are they a combo of both??. Overwhelming Democrat. The single most impactful event to put us on the road to where we are now with the cost of secondary education and the deflation of a degree's worth which requires so many professions to list them as a requirement was the passing of the Higher Education Act of 1965. That act was proposed by Edith Green (D–OR), passed the Democrat super-majority controlled House with no less than 255 Democrats voting to pass it, then passed the Democrat controlled Senate garnering the votes of 54 Democrat Senators, and was signed into law by Democrat Lyndon B Johnson. The new paradigm was sized upon by school administrators who are almost uniformly left leaning. This cake is a 5-layers Democrat beauty. It is quite impressive they've gotten it this high without the whole thing collapsing yet.

If not for Dems..I could go back for $90 a semester... and my physical therapist's student loan would be $50. Surprised you didn't hit the illegal aliens topic re: agri-business. Rich Republicans from the central valley never wanted them here anyway...🙄

However your Physical Therapist probably wouldn't have a degree at all. There certainly wouldn't be a $150k loan because no lender would be stupid enough to loan a kid that much money when they could very easily declare bankruptcy and discharge the whole amount the moment they crossed the stage with diploma in hand.

A hotel adjusted its rates according to demand?!?! Outrage!!!! You may really be on to something this time! We should also check to see if any of the attendees who booked flights at the last minute were charged higher airline ticket prices. I'll admit that I may have thought some of your ideas before were kooky but you really seem to be on to something this time. Yes, yes! We must all see if there is a class-action-suit to punish this one hotel in the world that dared to implement a demand pricing scheme. Please keep us all updated in what you find comrade.

We elect the President to Govern, not spend time booking government events at his hotels, and then tripling his rates, not to mention the millions he spends and charges us for his golf outings, which reportedly averages once every nine days and has reached $100+ million...are you his attorney? Why are you defending this pig? I'm assuming you are a U.S. tax payer and not a Russian troll....comrade...Or are you just a part of this strange psychological appeal to Powerful men who break ethical rules?

The fact you continue to fluff the whole story for your agenda is typical. That 100 million is total travel expenses not just golf. And don't act like he is the only president that likes to spend on the American tax payers dime. Also, it might be good idea you don't look into Sunday through Thursday and weekend hotel rates. You might go ballistic. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/sep/14/taxpayer-costs-for-obamas-travel-while-in-office-t/www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/stop-whining-about-trumps-golf-costs

OK I guess I got the Trump legal team's attention or staff members of the 30 attorneys Trump hired when he took office. God are we paying for that too?? I have no agenda, I just stumbled on this thread just a few days ago and I couldn't believe the aztec alum defending this guy, so of course the typical Obama distraction you offer begs me to start a new thread titled, "Ethical Standards comparing Obama vs Trump". You even want to start on this. How about this one. "Filling a cancer patient's apartment with dust. But the alleged harassment dragged on with one elderly couple, Alvin and Catalina Meyer. The elderly woman was dying of cancer and plagued with emphysema -- so it was a particularly rude awakening when Trump's construction workers woke her up at 7 a.m. by drilling holes in the ceiling above her bed. The construction crew had also set up a workstation in the apartment next door, and Mrs. Meyer complained of the dust in the air. I am a very sick woman battling for my life," she said in court papers. "I have begged for reasonableness. The landlord will not be reasonable." Source: money.cnn.com/2016/03/28/news/trump-apartment-tenants/I know I read this account somewhere else, but the lady ended up dying within a few months, it wouldn't surprise me if it came from his own book "The Art of the Deal", hence the title of this thread..Narcissistic Personality Disorder"...A real bastard.

¡Viva Cascadia! I wish California could break free from all these shthole states in the Midwest and South. If we turned off the California giving tap, how would the taker States move forward? California IS a sh!thole State. I don't know what State you live in, but this LA Times article is typical of most metro areas. I can tell you Oakland is just as bad. www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-homeless-toilets-20180221-story.htmlI've lived in all these areas. Bay area, LA, SD. The reality is that foreign investors are buying up all the property in our largest cities and raising rent to destablise our society. it's happening in Canada as well.

We elect the President to Govern, not spend time booking government events at his hotels, and then tripling his rates, not to mention the millions he spends and charges us for his golf outings Too funny. I wouldn’t say I’m defending anyone so much as I am finding your distorted view of the world to be hilarious. Did you see the SNL skit from last season about the war reporter using Snapchat filters? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9MOl9Amtk0The mental picture you paint of a single person being able to send a hundred tweets a day, and corrupt the whole government, and conduct stadium sized rallies, yet still has time to sneak off to work the desk at his hotels to book government events, and personally adjust the room rental rates all while golfing non-stop, is joyful. If you want to see the world through a filter that puts chipmunk teeth, glasses, and little blue bows in its hair, then go on with your bad self. I’m not about to take you seriously but I am wildly entertained.

Another view of the bastard;
Diaz worked at Trump’s Bedminster golf club in New Jersey for several years before bravely stepping forward to share her story in 2018, along with her fellow housekeeper, Victorina Morales. “He knows immigrants, many undocumented, kept his businesses running for decades,” Diaz continued. “We did many tough jobs. We cooked, fed and cared for him, his friends, White House staff, and his family.”
Yet Trump used his authoritarian speech on Tuesday night to continue demonizing immigrants even as he’s exploiting them behind the scenes, Diaz said. In just one recent example, Trump’s Virginia winery not only exploited undocumented workers, but also fired them after the grape harvest was over and the Trump Organization had gotten what it needed. “Trump exploited so many of us for profit now he exploits us for politics,” Diaz said. “He and his family know he’s wrong. It’s cruel and it’s sickening.”

Another view of the bastard; There is plenty of room for you. And BTW, I read that some Las Vegas hotels are raising their rates during the MWC tournament. It must be Trump's fault. Oh the humanity!!

Another view of the bastard; The problem with being so filled with hate is that it blinds you. We cooked, fed and cared for him, his friends, White House staff, and his family.” Did you miss the line “There is no evidence that Mr. Trump or Trump Organization executives knew of their immigration status” in your 2 year old propaganda? Yet Trump used his authoritarian speech on Tuesday night to continue demonizing immigrants even as he’s exploiting them behind the scenes, Diaz said. In just one recent example, Trump’s Virginia winery not only exploited undocumented workers, but also fired them after the grape harvest was over and the Trump Organization had gotten what it needed. “Trump exploited so many of us for profit now he exploits us for politics,” Diaz said. “He and his family know he’s wrong. It’s cruel and it’s sickening.” Once again, did you miss the part about Donald Trump having nothing to do with the management or any operations of any kind in this winery? Also, as this may be a bit deeper and so I didn’t expect you to catch it, but do you know when grape harvest is? In Virginia it is mid-September through mid-October. loudounnow.com/2019/08/26/summers-moderate-weather-bodes-well-for-upcoming-grape-harvests/The seasonal workforce in the wine industry is all gone by Halloween, but the winery staff who were discovered to have been committing fraud were fired in January. If you were going to fire people after harvest, there is no reason you’d continue to pay them into January. It wasn’t Donald Trump and it wasn’t post-harvest staff reductions. That article was written to leave readers dumber than if they read nothing at all.

Your link is to ‘Lest we forget the HORRORS’ with a list of “Atrocities”, and it is “Trump said, Trump said, Trump tweeted, Trump posted an image eating a taco bowl, Trump said”. The naiveté of thinking any of that as a horror is laugh-out-loud ridiculous. Just checking but when you referred to a leopard and its spots, is the leopard you?

Good God already. Do what this country has done over much of it's history--instead of trying to overturn election results through a partisan impeachment process, vote the person out of office in the next election.

Good idea, especially when you are bucking a "hostile" senate majority. This balloon was leaking when it left the ground and was doomed to crash. If you want change get behind 1 electable candidate and vote on election day! JMO
