Lives rent free in Trump's head. A guy who actually accomplished things versus a guy who has faked golf victories, crowd sizes and other accomplishments all his life. He has gained power by giving the far Right and white evangelicals all they want. Like candy from a baby. Here is what they have lost. "Tea Party" and their ideals.... dead. Moral Majority and "lithmus tests" dead. The greatest embarrassment will be when this Shyster goes down. The global celebration will be epic.

I agree it is funny and sad.
But also, John McCain was not someone the left should idolize or whitewash.
Respect his service and sacrifice, recognize he had more honor than most on the right these days combined, and move on.
His political record isn’t any better than Trump or Bush. One good vote made on health care, when he realized that health is a thing no one should take for granted, doesn’t fix the rest of things.

McCain served with most of today’s republican senators and not a single one criticized Trump for his remarks. Tells you all you need to know about the current state of the party.

McCain's service in the VietNam war was admirable and brave. His ability to make political decisions are entirely separate from his military service (as evidenced by the campaign claims of Democrats who supported Bill Clinton to Barack Obama).
McCain has made any number of poor political decisions in his career and being a useful stooge in the Hillary Clinton inspired and paid for dossier and the Democrat government lifer attempted coup was one of them. His Obamacare vote, in particular, costs me very dearly every month after month. No fan of politician McCain.

RWNJs, 2019: (23 year Veteran Captain, Silver Star, Purple Heart POW who had a 100% rating from the American Conservative Union in 2010 and hovered around 82-83% his entire 35 year political career. Signed the Grover Norquist pledge, sang “bomb Iran”, was a peripheral piece in the construction of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, opposed the federal minimum wage, and single handedly killed earmarks.) “RINO!! POOR POLITICS!! CLINTON STOOGE!! BASICALLY A DEM!! I DON’T LIKE HIM!!” Also RWNJs, 2019: (My-own-personal-Vietnam-was-Dodging-VD, three mail-order marriages, paying washed up porn stars to fck while wife is pregnant, multiple bankruptcy, historic levels of illegality in office, minority-hating septuagenarian) “ORANGE MAN IS A GIFT FROM GOD HERSELF TO SAVE THE JEWS FROM IRAN. FINALLY WE HAVE A PURE OF HEART TRUE CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVE BILLIONAIRE FIGHTING FOR US LITTLE GUYS.”

Hillary just took up where they left off.

I was not the biggest McCain fan..but there is a certain level of civility that should exist. Trump has thrown that all in the toilet and his followers have become sheep and enablers.

A criminal conspiracy against Trump and his friends from the highest levels (~Pres, Cabinet Officers, Government lifers) simply because Trump threatens the status quo and you expect Trump to kiss the a$$ of McCain who was either a knowing and willing tool in that conspiracy (showing us how small-minded and vindictive he was) or was an unknowing tool in that conspiracy (showing us how gullible and foolish he was). Not sure what is worst. Either way, the criminal conspiracy destroyed any number of lives and it isn't over by any means. Sure, prior service in the Armed Services is laudable but errors in judgement by former vet Duncan Hunter Jr, for example, brings out the Democrat scalp hunters without any pause, so spare me the phony indignation and calls for respect of former service. McCain and his aide Kramer are one in the same in this case and Kramer had to take the 5th before Congress. Leaning toward the knowing and willing tool.
