Zeigler obtusely referred to possibly losing another starter to transfer besides losing Watson, JH and Jalen to graduation and the NBA. That would either be Mitchell or Mensah and I don't see Mensah going anywhere.

He said, "In the transfer landscape of college basketball, there is no guarantee of not losing a 4th starter" (assuming McDaniels leaves). He is not hinting that we ARE losing anyone, there is no indication of that at all. He was just throwing out a hypothetical. People are reading way too much into that comment.

Right now the biggest loss would be Mensah. As we saw last night he has huge upside.

I agree I don’t think that Zeigler was making any predictions. The Aztecs have been largely immune to the vagaries of the departing basketball transfer. His article simply warned that we could lose a player unexpectedly in the offseason.

do not think you can eliminate Nolan , Matt or even Jordan S as possible guys that may want to transfer if they do not think they are getting the PT they are looking for as a starter .
Believe Jordan's mother was not real excited as to the way Jordan's latest injury was reported . Matt did not get much PT in the last 5 minutes in the last game . Nolan has been dinged up , does he want a change on scenery and place where he can start for his senior season - as of now our only senior for next season.
We could be losing a lot of scoring if Matt does go along with the other starters .

Matt and Jordan are playing a lot and would need to sit out a year to transfer, that’s less likely. Jordan’s mother simply replied to a incorrect tweet, that wasn’t a report.

Can't see Nolan transferring as he already burned his redshirt -- unless he's a grad transfer.

Not saying he's leaving or anything, but he's in his 4th year academically so I'd think that someone dedicated to transferring would be able to graduate under his circumstances.

That's my point, he maybe on his way to graduating, I have no idea and am merely speculating, but him transferring to say a lower league level where he could start makes more sense than matt/jordan transferring while having to sit out a season

How about this, let's stop the schoolchildren-gossiping about the players?

Assuming McDaniels doesn’t come, Narain will be starting at the 4.
If Chang improves his D, he will be getting 5-10 min/game as a So. He didn’t play last year and he knows he is a rusty freshman. Not bad, don’t know why either would leave.

I really don’t see Matt or Jordan transferring. Both are starting and can’t expect more minutes on another team. They are both SoCal kids so “going home” isn’t an issue. It’s possible that either could leave with hopes of landing on a better team, but that’s a crap shoot. I guess it’s possible that Mitchell is concerned that he will be asked to play the four next year.

It wasn’t until Schakel went to the bench that Mitchell started to see minutes on the wing.

It wasn’t until Schakel went to the bench that Mitchell started to see minutes on the wing. i've watched every game (not completely). we tried to play 4 guards, and 1 big (McDaniels) at the beginning of the year, otherwise known as 4-1 offense. In that offense there are no "forwards", there are 4 guards and 1 post. if you look closely you will see McDaniels now spread out like a 4th guard. so there it is, we are still primarily playing with 1 true post. For reference the article below should give you a good idea of what Dutcher and Company are trying to do. team.fastmodelsports.com/2016/03/14/villanova-wildcats-four-out-motion-offense/
