It doesn't seem we have offered. We need to have offered like a month ago. This kid is the real deal. Our staff has been in communication since his HS Freshman year. But now, he has been a hot commodity across top national universities. His Father played at Long Beach State, averaged between 15 to 19 points a game over three years after transferring from Syracuse. Assume we may not make his final selects, but who knows.

Good insights and story on Aztec recruit, Ramel Lloyd, Jr. www.prospectiveinsight.com/post/ramel-lloyd-jrWhat are you looking for in a school: "Just a family-oriented program, a winning program, a big conference and a big time school. I want to play with the best of the best. Location doesn’t really matter — just want to go where’s best for me and who will help me reach my dreams the fastest."

Hmm - well we are three of those four traits. We aren't in a big conference. He's talented enough, with enough offers, that he will probably go to a team in the Big 12 or Pac 12

correct we do not play in a P6 conference - Why it sure helps that we are playing the high quality teams this year in OOC . Do need a solid year and decent run in MM and that other MW teams do well to boost up the conference .

Basketball seems a little different than Football in what really defines a "Power Conference" ? In football is seems like money plays a big part..;;Also when you look at Gonzaga you can see how you can have Great Program while not being in a power conference. That is impossible in Football unless you are an independent.

It has taken quite a few years for the Zags to sign some of the top HS rated recruits . They usually had relied on transfers or even other country players .
Although in MBB if a Non P6 School can get a very big name coach / former NBA or from famous program that can really use his power to recruit they can sign some top recruits - 1 or 2 guys can make major difference for a MBB team - especially if one is a guard and the other is a player down low .
Also MM run can put teams in the big time status for recruiting
