Is he a 2018 or 2019 start ? I would assume he’s looking for a place to attend school and play this year, without seeing him play I would guess he would at least add some depth to our 2018 squad.

Isn't that where Trenkle coached? Yes and then brought his son Brady to Aztecs who would dive for loose balls with the Aztecs down by 20 with two minutes to go - great heart - Trenkle a great coach, at least at the JC level.

Trenkle was a great coach. Never really had the horses in the barn to field a competitive Aztec team.

He's listed as a class of 2019 recruit, and listed among the 2019 JC players to watch. In theory, he's for next year. Can't find any articles about whether he was a non-qualifier or not coming out in 2017 but if he was a full qualifier he could reclassify to 2018.

I don't remember him diving for many loose balls but I do remember that when he did make a shot on one end, he almost always got beat defensively going back the other way. Those were the days when it felt so great to win and losing didn't hurt very much yet.

so 2017-18 was his freshman year at the JUCO - so as pointed out more likely to be a 2019 recruit but do not know the NCAA rules for guys finishing their first year of JUCO ball - then trying to transfer to a college .

Full qualifier is always a full qualifier and can enroll at anytime. 2. Non-qualifier must become a qualifier and that takes two years, but he could (as some have in the past) not play his 2nd year and have three to play three.
