Malachi Flynn deserves a focused thread and since Jordan Cambpell appears to looking at other options, perhaps with Coach Hutson at Fresneck, we need a dedicated PG when Devon Watson leaves. The 6'1 PG was born a raised in Tacoma WA, ran track, played FB and BB in high school. Wazzu was his only P6 offer. Averaged 16, 4 & 4 as a sophomore. Visiting Creighton next week. "Former Washington State Cougar guard Malachi Flynn told CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein he’s receiving interest from Gonzaga, Baylor, Boise State, Creighton, Nevada, San Diego State, St. John’s and Texas A&M." www.spokesman.com/stories/2018/apr/12/gonzaga-shows-interest-in-transfers-malachi-flynn-/www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4066668/malachi-flynntwitter.com/malachi_flynn3

Have heard he's leaning A&M, but distance may be holding him back. Zags aren't offering.

Have heard he's leaning A&M, but distance may be holding him back. Zags aren't offering. Heard anything about his interest in SDSU? Are we in consideration? I didn't talk to him; a friend of mine in Pullman ran into him and chatted shortly. I do know he was very impressed when Dutch & Dave visited him a few weeks ago which he'd said at the time, but don't know the latest. He was also looking at visiting Creighton. With A&M, I'd guess a lot has to do with how he & their staff view Starks, who's relatively similar to Flynn & would be in the same class at the same position. Plus, they just added Mitchell who plays more off the ball, but again could eat up some of his potential minutes for a year. He'd be a great fit at SDSU though with Hemsley/Watson both leaving. He could bridge the gap to either Seiko or another HS recruit at the point.

This in from Omaha
CU had Matt Mooney in this week a 6-foot-3 guard out of South Dakota. He is a two-time first-team All-Summit League selection who averaged 18.7 points per game this past season. They have two open scholarships, hosted Albany grad transfer Joe Cremo and Florida Gulf Coast grad transfer Zach Johnson last weekend.
They’re set to bring in Washington State transfer Malachi Flynn for a visit this weekend.

Heard today Flynn was in SD visiting this week and wont be taking any further visits. Apparently down to SDSU and Creighton.

Seconding coming of X. It would be nice to have an experienced PG in after Watson graduates.

I'll open AZTECMESA a couple of thousand times a day hoping to read some good news. It's fun, exciting, and nerve wracking all at the same time.

Flynn should have a chat with X Thames about how transferring from wazzu to the Aztecs worked out for him.
He became an All American because of the Aztec coaching, IIRC.

Flynn was 11 or 12 when Thames left WSU. It’s hard for me as an old guy to relate to the short memories of the young. We really need his experience when we lose Hemsley and Watson. Flynn killed us in the non conference tournament last year. I take that with a grain of salt as we had a habit of making an opposing player look like Jimmy Chitwood.

Isn't this the same school the center we had a couple seasons ago...Valentine...came from...we should send him Flynn's way...he can attest to the school, bb atmosphere in the locker room and court...and the coaching staff.....
