I figured this was going to continue happening on a larger scale: "Boston, other marathons say trans women can compete as women": www.yahoo.com/news/boston-other-marathons-trans-women-compete-women-145137460.html"Transgender Volleyball Star in Brazil Eyes Olympics and Stirs Debate": www.nytimes.com/2018/03/17/world/americas/brazil-transgender-volleyball-tifanny-abreu.htmlI understand wanting to compete in the category you believe you belong in, but sometimes you have to consider others and why those categories are there in the first place. I think it is s#!++y for a biological male to take a biological females spot on a team and/or compete against biological females in a biological female sport. I'm surprised women are not speaking out against this. (Maybe they don't want to seem intolerant?) Ultimately, if identity trumps biology, you might as well eliminate biological classifications for sports.

If these transgender 'women' have all of their body parts and have not had hormone therapy to transform into physical women then they should not be allowed to compete as women.

If these transgender 'women' have all of their body parts and have not had hormone therapy to transform into physical women then they should not be allowed to compete as women. Even with hormone therapy and surgery, the difference between male and female still remains (bone structure, average height, for example). Again, I'm not trying to be a jerk (to transgender individuals), but if you are biologically female, then that is what you are biologically. And the male / female divide in sports is based on biology. It would be frustrating to not be able to compete in the classification you identify with, but it is unfair for a bio male to compete against bio female.

Two biological males take 1st and 2nd place in state track and field 100m girls division in Connecticut. I believe she got a state record and she is only a sophomore. www.wtnh.com/news/connecticut/transgender-track-stars-win-state-championship-ignite-debate-over-rules/1235044455 To bad for the biological females that trained their asses off only to be kept off the podium. (And losing your state record) What a joke. Apparently it is a Connecticut law as well as high school policy for individuals to compete in sports in the gender that they identify with. "athletes in Connecticut high schools can play for gender specific sport they identify with........The CIAC, Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference, says their policy is directly in alignment with state law and for their policy to change, state law would also have to change." If you watch the news video, listen to the guy claim that "certain people claim that men are stronger and faster"......then he goes on to say "the cream rises to the top (whether you are a boy or a girl) and the UConn women's team could beat the UConn men's team in basketball. How can someone make that kind of claim with a straight face, that is flat earth stuff....And the reporter doesn't challenge the statements at all....Whatever...

This is why there will be a civil war in this country, soon. There is a sliver minority who thinks this is fair, just and must be achieved at all costs. The rest of the population, the sane ones, feel this is ridiculous and resent the mentality disordered thinking which insists upon this madness.

eliminate biological classifications for sports. The answer is right there in your first psot Unfortunately, it might be. But I will make a prediction. If that were to happen, at the Junior high level, highly athletic females would be able to compete with the guys. Not highly athletic females would drop out of sports. As the grade level increased, those athletic females would slowly lose spots and playing time in the sport they have been enjoying since elementary school. Then there would be a movement to mandate 50/50 male to female player ratio and playing time ratio on each team.... Seriously, it could happen...

A while back there was a professional wrestler named Santino Marella, part of his shtick was putting on a dress and speaking in a falsetto voice claiming he was a twin sister by the name of “Santina”. Santina would compete against female diva wrestlers and proceed to beat the cr@p out of them. Like many things in pro wrestling the act quickly wore thin, but who would have thought that bizarre display would eventually come to high school athletics.
The death of reason is upon us.
