First new offer in a long time. JC OL. A little odd considering the amount of solid youth we have there, but maybe adding him for depth.

This whole recruiting game is always interesting. I count (roughly) about 70 known offers listed in this thread, which is probably on the low-end of reality. Some schools, such as Oregon, have over 300 offers out, and the typical P12 program has around 150-180.
Definitely some very different game plans. Stanford usually only offers around 100-125, whereas most - at least in the P12 - end up offering around 200-250 when all is said & done. I read where the norm is to start with 1000 on your board, identify 200-300 who you believe are offer-worthy, and then offer in bunches over the summer & into Sept. By the time the season starts you're usually narrowing it down to 100 who are actively recruited during the season.
Obviously dependent upon the # you expect to take, although I believe we're looking at a full deck this year given normal attrition (or at least 21+).
Here's where the P12 stood in terms of offers as of Sunday (with # of commits noted for a few):
Oregon: 313 (14 commits) Utah: 198 (2) ASU: 194 Colorado: 189 Oregon State: 188 Arizona: 181 WSU: 156 (4) USC: 150 Cal: 128 (15) UW: 87 (11) Stanford: 67 UCLA: 66 (4)
I would think G5's would cast an even wider net, knowing some of their higher-end targets end up at P5's.
The early signing helps, but IMO it doesn't narrow the net. Will be interesting to follow.
