Good find. Maybe for the recruiting board, but we should pin it up top there. Need a guard who can provide some stability to the backcourt.

I'm liking the guy from St. Johns. The last fellow that transferred in from St. Johns turned out to be a really good player. Let's do it again.

Perhaps a DL from SC for Rocky, or not as they haven't turned out that well.

Tory Miller-Stewart (6'9" 246 lb PF) could be interesting, but maybe not a difference-maker.
Same for Tariq Owens (6'11" 205 lb PF).
Many, many more grad transfers will pop up in the next few months...

Not Grad Transfers per se (well, one sorta is), but nearly the entire Pitt team asked for and received release from the school after the coach was fired. While all are East Coast guys, three stand out to me: Ryan Luther, Sr PF, 6'9" 225 lb -- ESPN article says will apply for and "should receive" a 5th year of eligibility. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/3138197/ryan-lutherMalik Ellison, Jr SG/wing, 6'6" 215 lb -- sat out this past season as a transfer from St. John's... so there's a decent chance he would be ruled to be immediately eligible with 2 years to play. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/3938916/malik-ellisonBryce Golden, HS class of 2018 PF, 6'9" 230 lb -- pretty highly-rated recruit who sounds like he would fit in well with the Aztecs. insider.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/evaluation/_/id/225092/bryce-goldenHowever, I don't imagine SDSU has been on any of their radars up to this point... but... that would have been similarly said about other transfers who wound up on The Mesa. Hundreds and hundreds more - let's hope we get one or two gems for next season, or one grad transfer plus one transfer that has to sit a year.

has not been easy for us to land a higher quality guy down low - last was Josh Davis(PF that loved to rebound ) - look at last year and year before that . the very good ones are heading to P5 schools . Hard to buck the Lower Conference status of MW ubless we get Zags
Would hope the staff will really be trying to work their connections the next month or two
Also reports that Coach H maybe getting call from Fresno as HC ? will make recruiting even more difficult .

Perhaps a DL from SC for Rocky, or not as they haven't turned out that well. SDSU's grad transfer reach is much farther than SC or Oregon State. Remember that QB from Rutgers we got recently? Alas, he flamed out too. Oldie Out

Dutch: Time to give your old pal Jimmy Williams a call. Maybe he's got another Josh Davis up his sleeve.
Also, is he still a high level recruiter that could be a good addition to the coaching staff, if a vacancy occurs?

I haven't heard much talk about Montana possibly transferring as a Graduate. There seems to be a less than perfect relationship between him and the coaching staff. A big who can rebound and hit 3's would be attractive to many P5 teams. It wouldn't shock me if he left.
Hope he doesn't but it wouldn't be that surprising.

I'd be pleasantly shocked if he's around.

would guess he may try to see if there is a team that will have opening for a Starter at the 3 . Also depends on if he will have enough credits to graduate by summer .

Max has both summer sessions to make sure he has enough credits to graduate . Then he can go anywhere he wants . Little doubt he would like to play the 3 and be a starter at school of his choice . Guess he will be listening to other teams . Pepperdine did hire a new coach that likes to score .

We have two spots open and maybe three if Max were to leave...
Then we have three graduating next year or two if Max leaves
And then the real chance that McD leaves after next year.
If Max stays then I would use at least one and maybe both scholarships on true transfers with at least two years left and or a high school player.
If Max stays and we get a couple grad transfers then after next year we will be looking for at least five recruits and maybe six if McD leaves after next season....
That is a lot to replace in one class...

Sounds like Dutch may have the opportunity to pursue the Great Grad Fab Five Transfer Coup of all time in a year or two.
Or, the Juco Fab Five.
Perhaps a combination of the above?
Become the Calipari of the transfer world...
